Los Angeles, CA --May 4, 2010 - On the heels of their 2010 Stellar Award nomination sister act, 5 A.M. Praise, release their “SOLDIER APPROVED” new single So What, an infectious urban/pop anthem with an inspirational twist.
The first radio single from their third upcoming album, All From Above-The Best of 5AM Praise, this song is for those who stand firm by standing on the promises of God. When the devil tries to take your joy. When lies are told on you. Stand firm and just say "so what."
The single was inspired by their First Lady, Dr. Dee Dee Freeman from Spirit of Faith Christian Center who recently wrote a new book," says Temera. "We can relate to her book for we've had our trials, many disappointing and difficult times, and through them all we've personally said 'So What.'
"Don't matter what all yall saying/I'm gonna praise Him/I'm just not having it/I'm gonna keep my joy! "This is our favorite lyric-because through our trials we have been obedient, praising God, standing on God's promise and keeping our joy no matter the obstacles and trials," says 5 A.M. Praise.
Known as one of the most vibrant and energetic duos in the gospel music industry, 5 A.M. Praise, biological sisters Temera and Toya, have shared the stage with and performed for many artists as Tye Tribbett, Fred Hammond, Canton Jones, Tramaine Hawkins, Dr. Bobby Jones, Vickie Winans and a host of others.
MSG John B. Royston, Jr., who's currently serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq, co-wrote the song--writing some of the lyrics while in Iraq. And through this war, the soldiers are saying "So What," proving it to be a very infectious song throughout their camp.
"We all go through trials and are discouraged at some point in our lives," says Toy. "Getting talked about, losing jobs or just not good enough in some else's eyes, but this song says "So WHAT" still stand on God's promise and keep your joy!"
