The band has released their debut independent release entitled "It's Your Funeral". In Fall/Winter 2006, they are currently supporting the CD with shows all across Southern Ontario, Canada.
55 STITCHES can be heard on college radio, Live365.com and all it's radio broadcasters, Netwavz Radio, Scrub Radio, and has been interviewed and featured regularly since early 2006.

Fall 2006 will bring another CD EP under their belt. While still untitled, the EP will showcase 4-5 tracks that best represent the band.

55 STITCHES throws a unique spin on today’s Industrial Metal scene. The band draws its influences from many different acts - Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden... just to name a few.
Their music combines a blend of heavy guitars, dark industrial programming, aggressive, in-your-face riffs, and catchy vocal melodies.
In July 2006, after only four weeks on the worldwide indie artist site - Garageband.com, the band's first single "Pray" on their upcoming EP, has soared up the current Industrial chart to claim the #1 spot. It maintained this position for over 7 consecutive weeks, with daily chart re-rankings.
The band's songs have already won numerous awards at Garageband.com, and have been showcased several times.
Kain is the founder and creator behind the project and with 17 years of music experience, the band has a clear focus and vision. Being the frontman onstage, he is also extremely active behind the scenes, and was responsible for releasing the band's debut independent 2005 CD release, It's Your Funeral. He wrote and produced the entire CD from his own studio.
Alarec bring in heavy aggression and creates a solid foundation for our material. He’s been a musician all his life, and has recently switched from guitars to bass. His signature sounds are instrumental to the band.
Pain has a wealth of experience behind the drumkit and in the music industry. He has played with many acts, both in the studio and on-stage. His natural feel for rhythm fits in so tightly with 55 STITCHES. Once we saw him play, we knew we needed him in our family.
Jenocyde is a musically trained virtuoso that we managed to corrupt to the dark-side. Her raw talent behind the keyboard provides a fresh approach to what Industrial has come to mean.
Kain writes:
"55 STITCHES was born from a very dark period of my life back in 2003. All my attempts at domesticity had failed, and I was left with nothing but this rage, negativity and loss eating at me inside. I've always wanted to channel my experiences into music, and this band has given me that opportunity. It's been a long time coming… The music and lyrics are extremely personal, taken from my past experiences; and I think this is why our fan-base is growing so quickly. 55 STITCHES is my vision of twisted psychotherapy. The music started out as catharsis for me to express myself... but I discovered very quickly that others really understood it, and related to it just as much as I do."
We’re here to spotlight all those negative experiences and emotions that we each hide away, and that we're too afraid to speak about or admit to, but that we all deal with secretly everyday. We’re a sick product of today’s North America, and 55 STITCHES is here to shed light on all its beautiful ugliness.
