It was my first time ever really listening to the guy’s music and definitely a first in meeting him, but the man that people know as -2Z- is more than just a talented citizen trying to make a name for himself, 2Z is one real artist who’s hoping that anyone who likes music takes a listen to his creations!

WhatsGoodToronto.com had the chance to welcome 2Z to our website for the first time, and we’re glad that we did! Discussing everything and anything music, the Torontonian invited us to his home away from home, kind of like his safe-haven under the shinny sun and blue skies just outside of his home! It was pretty cool being in a spot where you know so much creativity was born, and we were happy to be invited to an area where lots of 2Z magic is created! This Toronto-based artist has done quite well for himself and is continuing taking the route that will eventually lead him to the wonderful world of success. The talent is there, and if you got the chance to check him out at The Sound Academy last month, then you definitely know what kind of musical innovation this young gun has to offer. He wrote and composed a song in 24-hours, plus he performed it on stage in front of a crowd that obviously loved it!

We discuss all the ups and downs of the long road to achievement, as well; we hit on the music scene right here in the city and he explains that 2pac and Biggie paved the way for so many artists, but you’ll get to know why he thinks Drake paved the way for our city! We get to meet many talented artists from around town, but hanging out with this guy was like hanging out with the boys! He is talented, and has his own ingredients to add to the music mix. Music keeps changing and creativity levels are always tested, but just you wait for 2Z!

Fresh off his first-ever international tour and still buzzing off the release of recent videos, Toronto’s own 2Z is slowing things down a notch with the release of his brand new single, “Circles”. New York got a brief taste of the track last week as part of 2Z’s Unstoppable tour, but the full track has yet to be heard by public ears. Be amongst the first as 2Z drops by the booth for a quick interview followed by the track’s premiere on this week’s episode of CONNECTDADOT.
