Angry Asian Abrasion is a Bay Area instrumental band formed in the Summer of 2016 and played their first show on October 3, 2016 at Bottom Of The Hill in San Francisco. The band is comprised of drummer Gus Hurteau and guitarists Timothy Mah and Edgar Duchesneau who took over for Kevin Xu in September 2017. The band met and played Jazz together as members of the instrumental department at The Oakland School For The Arts (OSA). With plenty of Jazz having filled their playing time at OSA, the band looked for and found an alternative genre that defines their sound, progressive metal.
