Bio
The Aaron Traffas Band, based out of Lawrence, Kan., is a regional act and one of the few in the area that plays alternative country music. Drawing on influences such as Ryan Adams, Rhett Miller, Jay Farrar and Mike McClure, the ATB plays a unique style of original, alternative country music which is blended into an anti-Nashville concoction representing both the No Depression and Red Dirt scenes.
The Aaron Traffas Band formed in 2005 as a regional alt-country band based in Northeast Kansas. Initially the band comprised Aaron Traffas, Mason Powell and Chris Goering.
After the departure of Goering in 2007, the band took a break while Traffas played acoustic shows. The band replaced Goering with Randy Miller in mid-2009 and changed its sound from traditional red dirt and Texas country to a much heavier, rock-based sound.
Now focusing on playing live music in Manhattan, KS, and Lawrence, KS, the ATB plays ag rock and alternative country concerts in Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Nebraska.
