Bio
The name my parents burdened me with is Von Akers. I chose to go by Prince or Yoda Yasquiat. Born in Newport, Rhode Island on January 22 of 1993. My father was immediately stationed in San Diego in March so we quickly moved to Cali then. Spent some time out there and came to Houston in 1999. I turned 8 when I realized I wanted to write my own music and really get into it. I began listening to more R&B than rap at first, Jodeci, Dru Hill, New Edition, Boyz II Men and Jagged Edge. Ironically enough though, my hiphop inspiration came from the likes of Q-Tip, BIGGIE, Tupac, Outkast, Fleetwood Mac, Ice Cube, The Game & T.I. It was such a wide variety but it formed my sound into what it is today.
