“The kind that makes you play it over and over and over again. When you discover a new song and you just can’t stop playing it, knowing full well within a matter of weeks you’ll have “played it out” but you just keep pushing play. That’s the kind of music I want to make,” says lead vocalist Andy Bromberg about the early aspirations of his band Transmit Now.
“Music that is fun and dancey that everyone can enjoy. Nothing is better than seeing others enjoy your creation,” says bassist Lee Gianou
The creation he speaks of is Transmit Now’s debut EP “Cheers to the Years,” an anthemic tribute to alternative pop rock, produced by Pete Thornton (Paramore, Shinedown, Between the Trees), with additional production by Brooks Paschal, former vocalist for Tooth n Nail act Sullivan.
The album is a compilation of original songs that over the past few years managed to resonate through Orlando’s local band scene loud enough to be heard at Thornton’s production studio, and have now been polished up and laid out in their debut. The band, whose current 5-man lineup is less than a year old has an unusually dedicated sound for its age, and seems to be quietly promising Bromberg his wish for infectious and finger-bruising airplay.
“Cheers to the Years is all about the time, sweat, and emotions that go along with being a musician. Band life is hard – its expensive, physically draining, incredibly time consuming, and at the end of the day you’re never truly certain you’ll have the chance to do it the next. To me, Cheers is about all the time we’ve all spent practicing, chasing dreams, and simply a celebration of music in people’s lives,” says drummer Greg Parrow
“It’s a strong representation of what we can become. It's a fun record to listen to, and I feel great playing it,” says guitarist Kevin Parrow, Greg’s twin brother.
“The album is great, well produced, and refreshing to listen to. It’s not like what every other pop/rock/alternative band is doing right now,” guitarist Daniel Stoner
Impressed with the raw power of the band’s sound, Thornton nourished the soaring vocals of Bromberg and tuneful deliberations of the collective into a tight production that has the ability to excite even the most conservative of musical palates. Songs like the pulsating, “Everything’s Alright,” and sky-scraping “Wish You Well” have been turning heads and perking ears since their inception, and literally scream for freshness in a genre famous for its monotony.
“The vibe of the band in is exciting. When we play live it’s pure energy and when we’re sitting back having a drink it’s laid back, except of course when you get Kevin and Lee talking about the precarious situations they’ve gotten themselves into after a few too many drinks,” says Bromberg
“We're like a rocker A-team. Everyone brings a different style, background, and swagger to this thing. It's camaraderie that I feel fortunate to be a part of,” remarks Kevin Parrow.
“The band is a bunch of assholes. I hate these guys… save me, seriously! You know that situation where that Vietnam Vet, Jeremiah Denton, was taken in as a prisoner of war? During those 8 years they force fully interviewed him and he ingeniously used his eyes to blink out morse code...That, is me,” (Gianou) - Marylin Manno

Transmit Now is a Powerpop-rock quintet rising from the already vibrant Central Florida music scene. Starting their careers with a slot on the 2008 Warped Tour in Orlando, Transmit Now was determined to be noticed from the get go!
The band chose to work with producers Pete Thornton (Paramore, Shinedown) and Brooks Paschal (Sullivan) on their debut Self-Titled release which went on to garner much press from the likes of MTV, Alternative Press, AbsolutePunk and The Daily Chorus.
With Transmit Now already having numerous self booked tours under their belt, along with a full blown national tour with Framing Hanley and The Veer Union, they have no intention of slowing down just yet; managing to share the stage with the likes of Anberlin, Framing Hanley, Mayday Parade, Mercy Mercedes and many more.
The next chapter in the Transmit Now story began in early 2009 with the guys teaming up with music industry heavyweight Jeff Hanson (Creed, Sevendust) and his record label, Silent Majority Group (Warner Bros./ILG).
With the guidance of SMG and along with producer Brett Hestla (Framing Hanley, Dark New Day), the band recorded its first full-length record due out in early 2010. The story won’t end here – it will continue to unfold as the band works harder and harder to pen their names in today’s modern rock scene!
