The Gift is a Rock/Ambiant band based in Montreal, Canada, home of the best up and coming experimental and indie bands.
The band recorded their debut album, Home Pt. II: Satellites, in a small Montreal recording studio. The album was recorded and mixed by the band - four of the five members being sound techs. A small amount of equipment was available which forced a creative approach to the music and the recording process itself.
The DIY concept has been with the band since then when it comes to promotion, distribution, and shows. An unexpected amount of people have been coming to The Gift's headlining shows - creating a buzz around the province of Quebec.
The best is yet to come for the young band. A canadian tour is being fixed for summer 2010 to promote Home Pt. II Satellites and to let all canadians have a chance to see and hear what this band is all about.
