This evening I had an opportunity to watch your interview with Mr. West on channel 3, and I was very impressed with your interview. You are a very well spoken, humble young man with a great calling on your life. This past summer you ministered to our youth, at the Fresh Power Youth Conference at Triedstone Baptist Church. I didn't get a chance to talk to you that evening but I just wanted ot send you an email to encourage you to continue to do what God has called you for.... Advancing the Kingdom through Kingdom Music. I pray that your ministry continues to grow and you (as a vessel of Christ) continues to win souls for the Kingdom.

well first off let me start by introducing myself...
My name is .........and I am a first year medical student at OSU. I recently graduated from U of Michigan with a Bachelors in Biochemistry.
While this introduction may seem glamorous, it took a long way to get here. I come from a family of nine. My parents are laborers and immigrants.
I was really touched by your message (on your recent television interview). I thought that I should congratulate you for making a decisions you made thus far as a young gentleman in the circumstances presented.
You made an interesting assertion that WE need to go back and help elevate our community and this is one of the major problems that our youth faces today. And with that I know I am accountable. Thank you for your time and commitment to working with our youth and community.

THE PASTOR OF THE STREET
Jeremiah 3:15 states “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, and they will feed you with knowledge and understanding”.
While the world of hip hop is flooded with flamboyant rap artist, platinum chains, and meaningless messages, there remains a remnant that refuses to conform to the ways of the world. Steadfast in his faith Street Pastor has emerged as an urban missionary to those influenced by Hip Hop culture. With over twelve years of experience in the ministry the “young veteran” seeks to be a model and a messenger of the gospel’s transforming power especially (but not exclusively) among the hip hop generations.
Yaves Ellis AKA Street Pastor has been trailblazing the Christian Hip Hop scene for the past decade. Beginning at the age of nine. The young emcee quickly made a name for himself by holding his own in a arena that was flooded with artist that were at least ten years his senior. Traveling to over 12 different states and performing in front of audiences all over the nation landed him coverage on national platforms like C-SPAN.
Yaves is a nationally known recording artist and motivational speaker. He has shared the platform with Reverend Jesse Jackson and former President Bill Clinton; worked with Jamie Foxx and Nickelodeon. Recently, Yaves participated in a national competition where he placed second in a field of 12,000 music artists.
As a graduate of The Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University, Yaves excelled at one of the most prestigious schools in the nation, maintaining a competive GPA while running a record label, and working as Director of Public Affairs at Radio One Columbus.
Yaves, also known as The Street Pastor, is not your average artist, in fact he is not an artist at all! He obtains the same leading ability that Dr.Martin Luther King Jr used to shake a nation, his creativity is non other than a gift from God, and the call on his life will impact this generation!
