Serenity is an awesome group of ladies that made our two previous Joyfest Concerts (2005, 2006) a blast. We were so impressed by their performance and the crowds response we had bring them again the next year. The attendance for 2005 was approximately 11,000 and 5,000 for 2006. These young ladies going to make a impact with their music in the industry. - Shane Merrill

Bio

Serenity consists of four young ladies. They are Tameka Thomas, Kira Allison, Briana Crowder and Jarina McLain. This dynamic group not only has a passion for the gospel but knows the importance of having a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto Salvation to every one that believeth” Romans 1:16
We feel that in order to spread the gospel it is important to live the life that we sing about.

These women have been singing since grade school and were raised together. Many say that you can hear the longevity of their singing through their harmony. The Lord has blessed this group over the years and is continuing to open many doors. The bible says,
“I will open up the windows of heaven, and pour out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it” Malachi 3:10. The group has been blessed to share the stage with many national recording artists such as: Fred Hammond, Tye Tribbett, Israel and New Breed, Martha Munizzi, Jesse Dixon, Michael McDonald, Jason Crabb, Micah Stampley, Donald Lawrence, Coko, Jeff Majors, Hezekiah Walker, John P. Kee, Deitrick Haddon, LaShun Pace, and Rance Allen.

In addition, these ladies are no strangers to the camera. They were special guests on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) on “Praise the Lord” telecast. Serenity also had the privilege of being a part of the Bobby Jones Showcase (Word Network) as well as the Inspirational Network (INSP) which airs across millions of homes around the world. These young ladies also have ministered on weekly shows like the Moment of Truth, Celebrate Jesus, Spiritual Awakening and many more that have touched thousands of souls.

In 2007, Serenity embarked upon a new phase of their career in which they had the opportunity to appear in a film called “Praise Band” produced by Dave Moody and Elevating Entertainment. This film not only showcases Serenity’s singing talents but their acting as well. The movie was released 1st quarter of 2008.

Serenity completed a demo that is produced by Benjamin Thomas and Ricko Hill and has sold over 1,000 copies independently. The cd consist of the upbeat “Get Up” which speaks of proclaiming the name of Jesus and being grateful for the wonderful things God continues to do in their lives. (“Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised” Psalms 145:3) “Everything” written by Ricko, exemplifies God’s undying love toward us. No matter how many times we step out of line, God is there to pick us up. “Kept” is one of those heart-felt, laid back songs that you can nod your head to. This particular song talks about how the devil will try to trick you but just in the nick of time the Lord will step in and fight your battle. (“But with us is the Lord our God to help us fight our battles” 2 Chronicles 32:8) This demo, will keep you in anticipation! Not only will you hear fun and catchy beats but also heart realm worship like “My King.” Serenity is currently working on their freshman project due to release in 2009.

This fantastic and incredible quartet is excited about God’s favor upon their lives and they are waiting in a spirit of expectation because they know, THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
