Bio
Some people really enjoy music and others can’t live without it. Ryan is the later of the two. From the time he was old enough to work his cassette player, he would lock himself in his room so he could play air guitar and sing his lungs out to Garth Brooks, George Straight, and Johnny Cash. His country roots subsided as he began playing rock music with several different bands throughout high school. He never stepped behind a mic until one of those bands lost their singer. Ryan was forced to step up as the new singer when the band had no other options. He began writing songs at the age of fourteen and hasn’t stopped since. As a self-taught singer and guitarist, Ryan pours himself out into his songs. One listener states, “Rarely is there an album or song that shows such complete heart.”
Ryan’s first album, I’m The Dog Man, was an EP released in February 2010. The record expressed a pop side to the artist that was unlike songs he had previously experimented with. After great reviews from the EP, he set out to record a full-length record.
Ryan’s first full-length album, The Lower Road, was released in April 2011. This record revisits some of his country roots and begins to express a new rock sound even mixed with some folk and a touch of pop.
