GROUP VISION/PURPOSE:
1.To win souls for the kingdom!
The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps call Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Failth, and a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

Philippians 4:13
The face of gospel music has vastly changed with the passing of time, and in March 2004 it took on a new identity in the form of Parable of a Prodigal. Parable of a Prodigal formerly known as “consuming fire” was created by five youth ministers (Dominique Sweeting, Ryan and Bryan Cornelius, James Evelard and Tarvis Johnkins) of Victory Restoration Tabernacle. After the successful release of the album “Change The Game” it was apparent the group had stumbled onto something special. With five diverse styles blending together like ingredients in a cake, this flavor has proven to be one that is far from store bought.
In September 2006, P.O.A.P. immediately ventured back into the studio to record their first mass-marketed self titled album. This album is due to be released under P.O.A.P Music Group in Mid-June 2007.
Realizing that in all you do you must represent Christ properly, P.O.A.P did not feel it would be wise to be associated with companies that would choose to compromise the integrity of the gospel of Christ. With this in mind, promoting various types of clothing brands would be difficult. Faced with this dilemma, P.O.A.P. decided to create the clothing line called “Messiah Clothing LLC” which they felt would properly represent Christ and maintain the image of the group. The company’s online website, www.MessiahClothingCo.com is scheduled to open in the summer of 2007.
With P.O.A.P Music Group and Messiah Clothing Company established, it would be safe to say that you can expect to hear more from Parable of a Prodigal in the future. Despite slight hurdles and minor setbacks, Parable of a Prodigal have proven to be over-comers and with their unique style of blending contemporary gospel and hip-hop, they have created a sound for the future of gospel music.
