Summary

The John Lennon Songwriting Contest will be reserving 2 slots for Sonicbids artists at the 2015 NAMM Show. The 2 winners will receive an extensive prize package including gear and passes to the 2015 NAMM Show.

All submitting artists will receive a free submission to 2014 John Lennon Songwriting Contest Session II. The song entered through this listing will automatically be considered for JLSC Session II.

The Opportunity

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus will be hosting performances on January 23, 24, and 25 as part of the 2015 NAMM show in Anaheim, CA which attracts over 95,000 attendees annually. All entry fees from this contest help support the non-profit John Lennon Educational Tour Bus.

The Band

  • Contest is open to a wide range of genres including Rock, Country, Jazz, Pop, World, R&B, Gospel/Inspiration, Latin, Electronic, Folk, Children's Music

The Gig

Details:

  • Artists responsible for travel, lodging, expenses
  • All sets are 40 minutes
  • Sound equipment (mics, PAs, monitors) is supplied
  • Backline (drum kit, amps) is provided
Additional Compensation Details:
  • Two selected artists will each receive all items from the prize package:
  • NAMM Show performance slot on the GoPro Stage in the Grand Plaza 
  • Artist badges for the 2015 NAMM Show for band members
  • Professional video produced by the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus of one song from stage performance
