Bio

Formed in the summer of '99 in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, the concept was simple. Bring back the art of jamming and songwriting. 40 originals later the wait was over. With a variety of musical styles and an abundance of energy, IN WAITING has accomplished many of their goals. However, even in the infant stages of the band's progression, there was always the notion to take it all the way. That still remains the focus. With the substance in place, IN WAITING feel the only thing they need now is everyone's attention.

Adam Langley - Adam began playing guitar at age 12. At age 14 he was already playing the club scene with his own band. Additionally Adam has performed with Trooper, Matt Minglewood, and Bruce Guthro.
Adam has toured Canada twice, Atlantic Canada numerous times, and has played parts of the United States. Other credits include: many appearances on ASN's Breakfast Television, and Christmas Daddies telethons.
An integral part of IN WAITING, Adam brings with him the experience, dedication, and professionalism of a road tested musician.

Rob MacDonald - Rob, principal lyricist for IN WAITING, was vocally trained through St. Andrews 1st United Church choir. Though his main performance task in the group is lead vocalist, he names guitar, piano, harmonica, and numerous percussion instruments to his skill-set. When not on-stage, Rob lends his well-trained ear to the arrangement and production of IN WAITING's songs and recordings.

Shane Sparling - With such a diverse range of instrumental ability, it's almost a foregone conclusion that Shane would be the band's principal writer. Guitars, keys, mandolin, bass, a variety of wind instruments as well as an ecclectic list of tastes including rock, blues, techno, and celtic give Shane a deep well of inspiration to draw from. And with 40 original numbers and climbing, there doesn't seem to be a bottom in sight.

Blaine Tait - Blaine began playing the drums at age six, and in groups by age 12. Although proficient on other instruments, drums proved to be the driving force in Blaine's life. At fifteen he began the first of many long-term projects which spanned over a decade, four albums, and countless shows across numerous tours north and south of the border. Most recently relocating to Cape Breton from Toronto, Blaine joined the ranks of In Waiting, a relationship he believes will prove the most promising and long-term to date.

Jason MacNeil - Jason began playing guitar at the age of twelve. Fourteen, saw him playing bass for various groups, and by sixteen he was performing on stage. Jason was a member of the winning band entered in the 2004 Battle of the Bands contest which lasted 6 months. With years of experience both live and in the studio, In Waiting's youngest member brings a fresh edge to In Waiting's sound.
