The Opportunity
The KAHBANG festival takes place over 4-days in Bangor, ME, bringing in artists and festival-goers from all over the U.S. to showcase their work or discover new and emerging talent. The Homegrown showcase will be held during the festival, directly outside of the festival grounds.
Homegrown is dedicated to MCs that have earned recognition throughout the New England region. The showcase will feature 5 total acts and will be hosted by a notable Maine rapper.
The Band
Homegrown will accept submissions only from hip-hop artists and artists in other related genres. Artists must be based in the New England area in order to submit.
The Gig
Homegrown will take place at Tantrum Nightclub in Bangor, ME on Friday August 8, 2014 during the KAHBANG Festival. Tantrum has a capacity of 300 people.
The KAHBANG team will select the 20 best Sonicbids submissions to be entered into a round of public voting at www.kahbang.com. From these 20 submissions the 2 highest vote getters will ultimately be chosen to perform.
