Bio
Haroh is a four-piece rock 'n' roll band from St. Paul, Minn. Since forming in 2006, they have been crafting concise, contemptuous pop songs filled with ennui, grit and longing. They have just finished their debut EP, "Ruby Bridges," which was produced by Darren Jackson (Kid Dakota) at Shortman Studio. These five songs highlight Haroh's signature attributes--rich, chiming guitars; strong, driving bass lines; hard-hitting, focused drumming; and barely-grounded vocals hovering above it all. Those who have seen them live are often wowed by their wall-of-sound tone and catchy (but not syrupy) melodies and chord progressions.
Haroh is its own beast, but will likely make you remember the best parts of early Weezer, early QOTSA, Hot Snakes and late 1990s Minneapolis noise-rock--all wrapped up in a hard-rocking, economical package.
