Strawberry Music Festival and Chaoyang Pop Music Festival have teamed up to book 1 artist for three performances in Beijing and Shanghai. The selected artist will receive $1,000 travel stipend plus local transportation, meals, accommodations, and an interpreter.

The Opportunity
The selected artist will perform on May 1, 2015 at Chaoyang Pop Music Festival in Beijing, on May 2 at Strawberry Music Festival in Beijing, and May 3 at Strawberry Music Festival in Shanghai.
The Chaoyang Pop Music Festival is presented by the China Arts and Entertainment Group (CAEG). CAEG was created in April 2004 and is the country's first large-scale, state-level arts and entertainment association. 20+ artists will perform for over 30,000 fans at this year's Chaoyang Pop Music Festival.
The Strawberry Music Festival, produced by Modern Sky Entertainment, is China's largest music and arts festival featuring 150+ artists and over 250,000 fans in attendance. The event will be held at Tongzhou Canal Park Tonghu Dalu, Tongzhou District and Shanghai Expo Park.
The Band
- All genres are welcome, though rock, pop, and folk music are preferred
- Acts with original music are preferred
- Only artists based in North America, Europe, Australia or New Zealand are eligible
The Gig
Details:
- Artist will have 30 min sets at each performance. If the selected artist is based in the United States, they will receive an additional 15-20 min set at Chaoyang as part of the festival's America Theme Night
- Sound equipment (mics, PA's, monitors) will be supplied
- Backline (drumset, amps) will be provided
- Selected artist will receive $1,000 travel stipend courtesy of Sonicbids and Modern Sky Entertainment
- Artist will be provided with local transportation, meals, accommodations, and interpreter while in Beijing and Shanghai
- Modern Sky will work with the selected international act to secure visas
- Chaoyang Pop Music Festival will work with artist to book flights via festival partner American Airlines
- Selected act will be featured in festival press
- Artist can sell merch on-site
