M.E.A.N.Y. FEST 2013

M.E.A.N.Y. FEST, which has featured acts such as Semi Precious Weapons, Lana Del Rey and Stellastarr, attracts up to 10,000 people and showcases over 150 bands in the best NYC venues for two weeks of all genres!

The event asks audience members to vote for 3 finalists during their performances, with 2 picks chosen by M.E.A.N.Y. FEST staff (1 from NYC, 1 from out of state). Bands showcase this Fall, and a winner and runner up will be determined by an industry panel for the finals taking place in December 2013.

Slots for Sonicbids Artists:

• 100 Slots Are Reserved for Sonicbids Artists.




• 25 will be selected from those who submit before May 30. These artists will be notified by 6/15.
• Another 25 will be selected from those who submit before June 30. Artists will receive confirmation of their acceptance by June 30.
• 5 slots are reserved for artists based outside of NYC. These geographic regions include: Midwest, Mountain, Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, West.
• At least 1 FINALIST is guaranteed to be chosen from out of state.

Prizes for M.E.A.N.Y. 2013 will be similar to the prize package offered in 2012 which is listed below--

• 2 full days of recording time including engineer, more details TBA.
• A radio package from Notorious radio including a full promotion at New Music shows as well as web radio stations across the country, all of whom have been hand picked because they support underground music.
• A spin on NYC's rock radio station 107.1 The Peak and 1015.5 WDHA in NJ by Rich Russo
• 5000 spins on Jango
• Reason 4 Virtual studio rack and Record virtual
• studio software packages
• A spotlight artist package from Cliq music and more!

**BONUS FROM JANGO - all artists submitting to M.E.A.N.Y. will receive 100 free spins from Jango - Jango airplay is a music marketing tool for artists and labels to promote their music to Jango's 7 million listeners.**
