The 12th Annual IAMA will feature a Grand Prize worth $11,000 and $12,000 in additional prizes across 8 categories. Through November 25th only, acoustic music artists receive a critique of their music and performance at no additional cost.
The Opportunity
Through November 25th only, acoustic music artists receive a critique of their music and performance at no additional cost with The Critique Impact. The Critique Impact is a one page music report that covers the music artist's strengths, recommendations, ratings and more.
IAMA is open to, and focuses on developing new markets for acoustic artists, labels and CD releases.

The Band
- All songs submitted must be originals
- Artists may perform original material not yet released and written by other songwriters or composers
The Gig
Judging is based on excellence in music performance, songwriting/composition and originality. Winners are selected by a panel of established artists and industry professionals.
There are prizes in 8 different categories:
- Folk/Americana/Roots
- AAA/Alternative
- Instrumental
- Open
- Country/Bluegrass
- Best Male Artist
- Best Female Artist
- Best Group/Duo.
Winners and runner-ups will be featured on IAMA's CD compilation and artists are featured and promoted on IAMA website every month. The website provides a review, ratings, CD information, touring information and more. You do not have to be a contest winner to be selected for a website feature. Winners and finalists of the Awards will also be featured on the IAMA website and e-newsletters, read by music press, talent buyers, promoters and other industry insiders.
