The Opportunity
The Harvard Yard Starbucks in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is one of four Starbucks concept stores in the world. They book live musicians nightly, booking out slots for a month in advance.
The Harvard Yard Starbucks is two-stories and features abundant seating, two Clover areas and schedules coffee sampling. Located in the heart of Harvard Square, the building itself was constructed in 1864. Bands perform in the upstairs lounge that looks out over the square, where one can easily see Harvard University's bookstore, "The Coop."

The Band
- Welcome to acts from New England
- Acts are asked to play solo, or no more than groups of 3 players
- Percussion must be kept light
- Music must be appropriate for all ages as Starbucks is a family establishment
The Gig
Details:
- Nightly dates in May 2015, except for select special coffee events
- One-hour time slots
- Performances are typically booked Mondays - Saturdays at 7pm or 8pm, Sundays at 11am, 1pm or 2pm
- Set time does not include set up and break down
- A mixer, two speakers, two microphones and two mic stands are provided
- Please note that the standup piano on site is for decoration only
- May sell merch on site
