C2SV Music Festival, a three-day Music and Technology festival in Silicon Valley, is seeking to book 10 Sonicbids bands.
The Opportunity
The C2SV Music Festival is a Silicon Valley based music and technology festival located in San Jose, California. Thousands of attendees swarm along South First Street in the heart of the San Jose SoFA District every year to enjoy the vibrant mixture of music, technology and Silicon Valley culture.
The event kicked off last year with very positive reviews and global media attention. Conference speakers included Steve Wozniak (Apple), Nolan Bushnell (Atari founder), the notorious John McAfee, as well as others from Yahoo!, Zukerburg Media, Match.com, Ebay and more.
The Band
The competition is open to solo and group acts that perform original music. Preferred genres include: alternative, indie, electronic, retro, jazz, and funk.
Past Performers Include: Iggy and The Stooges, Thee Oh Sees,
Bosnian Rainbows, Deafheaven, OFF!, Dam-Funk, The Coup, Lemonheads, Tera Melos, Mondo Generator, Social Studies, The Limousines and many others.
The Gig
The festival takes place September 10-14, 2014 and coincides with C2SV Technology Conference. The music and after hours
programming will include happy hours, food trucks and world class music. Artists will be performing at one of many venues which take part in the festivities. Performances will take place between 2-10pm on Saturday and Sunday, September 13th and 14th. Sound and lights will be provided however a backline will not.
