Bumbershoot Festival 2014

North Americas largest urban music and arts festival, Bumbershoot takes place at Seattle Center, the glorious 74-acre park built to house the 1962 Worlds Fair. The Festival takes full advantage of Seattle Centers fantastic amenities, including indoor theaters, outdoor stages, sprawling green lawns and a rockin outdoor stadium. Bumbershoot is produced by One Reel, the independent, not for profit producer of the Northwest's premier arts events. Bumbershoot: Seattles Music & Arts Festival occurs over Labor Day weekend on August 30th to September 1st, 2014. 

More than 250 scheduled events provide 120,000 Bumbershooters with an engaging mix of entertainment and spectacle - from regional favorites to international superstars. Thousands of artists, including poets, painters, dancers, divas, comedians, filmmakers, musicians, performance artists, acrobats, DJs, thespians and more perform at the Festival in a three-day feast of music and art. This year, Sonicbids is partnering with Bumbershoot to book four North American artists at this year's festival. Selected artists will be compensated for their performances with a travel stipend of at least $250.  

Additionally the four selected artists will be featured in a Sonicbids/Bumbershoot co-branded ad in Billboard Magazine. 

Hall & Oates, Jane's Addiction, Skrillex, Gotye, Passion Pit, M83, Wiz Khalifa, Broken Social Scene, Anvil, Butthole Surfers, Das Racist, Fitz and the Tantrums, Urge Overkill, Bob Dylan, Solomon Burke, Mary J. Blige, Weezer, Kanye West, The Shins, Wu-Tang Clan, Elvis Costello, Beck, Spoon, Public Enemy, John Legend, Garbage, Mavis Staples, Death Cab For Cutie, The Killers, and thousands of others have graced the stages of Bumbershoot throughout the Festivals 41-year history. 

4 slots are reserved for Sonicbids artists for 2014's festival. Over 100 Sonicbids artists have been selected to perform at Bumbershoot since 2006, including Kris Orlowski, Massy Ferguson, Allen Stone, Kore Ionz, Parlour Steps, Brian Vogan, Hey Marseilles, Ian Moore, Barcelona, Tyrone Wells, Feral Children, Natalie Portmans Shaved Head, MONO IN VCF, Sera Cahoone, Velella Velella and many more.
