Summary
At least 2 Sonicbids artists will be selected to perform at the ConserFest 2015 in Block Island, RI and help promote environmental stewardship. Selected artists will receive a travel stipend and meals.
The Opportunity
ConserFest is a grass roots movement originating on Block Island, RI, that came about in the fall of 2007. Through an annual music and art festival, ConserFest raises finances and awareness for land conservation and for the preservation of local heritage and culture. Now moving into its eighth year, ConserFest continues its efforts to promote stewardship by educating about eco-conscious habits to adopt, sustainable lifestyle changes and actions to take to help protect special places, like Block Island, RI.

The Low Anthem, Kingsley Flood, Giant Panda Guerrilla Dub Squad, Zox, Travis Greenlee and Homeslice, Fungus Amungus, Pressure Cooker, Cheers Elephant, The Silks,
The Band
- Local, regional and touring artists
- Block Island, Rhode Island, and New England encouraged to submit
- Solo artists ad bands accepted
- Accepting a variety of genres
- Original artists and bands with an environmentally-friendly message are preferred
The Gig
Details:
- Basic backline is provided, musicians need only bring their instruments and specialty equipment (i.e. effects, special microphones, cymbals, specific drums).
- ConserFest prefers to use the official house engineer, but is open to requests by bands interested in using their own engineer
- Each selected artist/musician will be provided with a $25 travel stipend
- Housing for the night of the festival (if you are selected to perform at night),
- Lunch and dinner on the date of the festival
- If an artist is selected to play during the daytime event(s), nighttime accommodations cannot be guaranteed but may be available upon request
