Arezzo Wave Love Festival Contest 2014

Sonicbids is paying for one artist to travel to Italy to play Arezzo Wave.

Entering its 28th year, Arezzo Wave Love Festival 2014 is a 3-day event featuring music, literature, dance and other fields. Arezzo Wave features the best established stars, as well as up-and-coming artists from the international rock scene.

Arezzo Wave will invite 1 Sonicbids artist to perform. The selected artist will receive a 1,850 Euro ($2500 USD) subsidy directly from Sonicbids.

Past performers at Arezzo Wave / Italia Wave festival include Caravan  Palace, Mala Vita, Fuel Fandango, Ewert & The Two Dragons, MC2 as well as Kraftwerk, Placebo, Lou Reed, Kaiser Chiefs, Paolo Nutini, Jimmy Cliff, Aphex Twin, Ben Harper, and Dave Matthews Band.

This year's event will feature 3 areas: The Main stage, Psycho Stage and Cult Wave. More additional activities will be held that feature literature, dance, magic and much more.

Arezzo Wave Love Festival (called Italia Wave Love Festival from 2007 to 2011) started back in 1987. Arezzo Wave Love Festival is curated and organized by the Arezzo Wave Italia Foundation. In recent years, Arezzo Wave grew from being a rock festival to a more cultural event, presenting new cultural sections and new stages: literature, movies, theatre, cabaret, comics, dance, contemporary art and figurative expositions.

Continuing a long tradition, most of the Arezzo Wave events are free to the public with entrance to morning and afternoon events. The Main stage has however very cheap tickets. This year's festival will take place from July 18 through July 21 in, Arezzo, Tuscany.
