Summary
KOI Music Festival is booking up to 25 Sonicbids artists to perform at this year's event. Selected artists play for an expected 10,000 attendees and receive festival wristbands.
The Opportunity
This year's festival expands on past success and takes place over 3 days from September 25th - 27th. The past 5 years has seen KOI Music Festival book 600 independent artists with thousands of music fans attending each year.
Friday kicks off with an outdoor headline concert, late night after parties and outdoor vendors. Saturday offers ticketed events with multiple indoor venues and outdoor stages complete with a beer garden. Over 120 bands play as King Street is closed to make way for a massive vendors market.
Past Performers Include:Every Time I Die, Four Year Strong, Mad Caddies, We Came As Romans, Gob, Protest The Hero, Classified, Walk Off The Earth, Cute Is What We Aim For, The Flatliners
The Band
- Wide range of genres accepted
- Rock, punk, indie, metal, ska and acoustic encouraged to apply
- Canadian and American acts preferred
- Artists from other regions should only submit if they are touring and will be in Ontario for the festival
- Bands should not be playing in the Kitchener-Waterloo, ON area 30 days before or after KOI Festival
The Gig

- 30 minute set
- Professional sound and lighting provided
- Sound engineer provided
- Backline provided in most cases
- Outdoor and indoor performances
- Selected acts receive full weekend passes for the festival
- Discount rates provided at local hotels
- Artists may sell merchandise and keep 100% of the revenue
