JON WAIN

“Jon Wain” is a an extraordinary COMPOSER/PRODUCER/SONGWRITER whose credentials and catalogue are quickly beginning to prove his creative genius.

Born the oldest son to a mother struggling to find her way in a southern suburb of Chicago, WAIN was inspired by his family at an early age to explore the world of music. As his passion grew, he began devoting more time to his, as of yet, undiscovered talent and realized that it was beyond "good enough".

By his teens, he was sure of his ability and decided on music being something he could do. From there, he then decided to form his first singing group... a trio, which caught the attention of his close family and friends. This experience spurred him on to seek a future in the music industry.

His first attempt at a professional singing career didn’t come until after high school, when a local independent label signed WAIN and his group to a recording deal.

A few years later, despite increasing recognition of the group, he chose to serve the label with his letter of resignation for personal reasons. Shortly after, WAIN set his sights on following a different path.

After a short recoup, WAIN decided to turn sights to the production side of the music industry. Using his musical creativity through almost three years of trial and error he perfected his craft as a music producer. It was about that time when he was dubbed “Jon Wain” by one of his rap artists.

Since then, WAIN has worked with countless local and professional acts. Yet, these endeavors were not quite consistent enough to take him to the next stage in his career. WAIN began to realize that there are more ways to break into the industry besides through the proverbial “front door.”

He decided to take the opportunity offered to him by a friend to compose music for the Oprah Winfrey Show. WAIN then signed a deal with Harpo Productions, and since has had countless spins on the show.

Nowadays, WAIN is far beyond his talent years and is on his way to becoming an extremely talented PRODUCTION POWERHOUSE, just as he has longed to be. Today, he’s producing and writing for some of the industrys elite, while being offered commercial spots for well known companies such as the McDonald’s Corporation and Pilsbury. With inspiration coming from the production styles and influence of industry heavy hitters such as Rodney Jerkins, Dallas Austin, Warren Campbell, and Next Selections Ryan Leslie to name just a few, "Wain" is a force to be reckoned with and well-deserving of this rightful place in the music industry.
