Ante Up
4-9 Records
The most recent effort from Blind Robbery opens with “Drive,” a forceful hard rock romp, featuring drummer Matt Jennings pounding the snare skin with all the fervor of a Civil War-period blacksmith putting the hammer to white-hot iron. Jennings' might is matched note by note by the gut-driven vocal performances of singer and guitarist Craig Adams. Rarely rising above the baritone scales, Adams' vox are the signature of the Blind Robbery formula.
Adding to the band's uniqueness are the non-aggressive sound and playing styles of guitarist Brian Holmes and bassist Brian Blum. Choosing to work with cleaner sounds and a style built more on finesse and technique than flash and volume, Holmes and Blum create diversity in the music by bringing a healthy amount of musical influences to the arrangements. This melting pot effect is most apparent in tracks suck as “When I Get You Alone,” and the electric six-string strum-ballad “This Tonight.”
Ante Up shines a light on the great things Blind Robbery has to offer, while whetting our appetites for what we can expect from the band in the future.
The disc is available at Cdbaby.com as well as the band address blindrobbery.com.

"Blind Robbery is an eight-year old act from Long Island that has scored as much area airplay and worked as many club dates as any band in the region." - Good Times Magazine

Blind Robbery........the epitome of kick ass Rock and Roll. The only act I've used 6 straight summers because they ALWAYS give more than anyone else. Every year they set the bar....lift the bar.....then tear it down with a vengeance. Rock & Roll at it's best....period." Bob Blickwede, Owner - Jones Beach Events - Jones Beach Events

"Music that is full of heart, soul, skillful lyrics and passion are what comes to mind when describing this band. Our Webzine …was amazed by the band’s poetic lyrics, melodic tunes, soulful vocals by Lead Man Craig Adams." Isaac Davis - Junior's Cave Online Magazine

Bio
Since 2002, Blind Robbery has truly been the gadfly of the Long Island music scene, offering a constant and caustic alternative to an otherwise endless sea of hackneyed cover bands and plastic indie scenesters with their unique brand of guttural, high-voltage groove.
Blind Robbery rocks hard with elements of funk, blues and jam as is evident on their 2005 debut "Ante Up". Dan Brown of Good Times Magazine noted: "Ante Up shines a light on the great things Blind Robbery has to offer, while whetting our appetites for what we can expect from the band in the future."
The band has been featured on Homegrown on 102.3 WBAB as well as being the station's featured artist of the day during the Northeast Blackout of 2003. Blind Robbery is in rotation on WUSB 90.1 (Stony Brook University) and has been played on WSJU (St. John's University). In 2007 Blind Robbery were the winners of the Holbrook Battle of the Bands competition.
Whether it's the local bar, Penn State University or the Jones Beach Bandshell, Blind Robbery is known across the Island for its raucous live performances. The versatility of Blind Robbery allows them to perform with rock, blues, r&b, punk and metal bands seamlessly. Their energy creates a whirlwind of confusion, whiplash, screaming and gratification that leave their fans with the taste for more.
Blind Robbery unleashed their second album "Crooked Numbers" in December 2009. It is currently available on itunes.
