The Top 50 bands were chosen by a very intense review by our judges. This was a very hard decision, and all of you are exemplary artists. The competition was very stiff. DCT will announce the Top 5 this coming Wednesday, January 9, 2007 culled from the Top 50. Stay tuned over the next few days for the final results. We very much appreciate your participation in Live 2.0 NYC.

At an early age, Keith McKelley presented such an amazing talent that it was clear he was destined to become a first class musician. Since he first picked up a saxophone at 10 years old, Keith’s musical talent has continued to evolve, eventually transcending his age. Some of his early accomplishments include becoming the first freshman in the history of Canton - McKinley High School to make the jazz band and winning first place in a state jazz competition for best solo. One of Keith’s most significant early accomplishments was winning a scholarship to an Ohio State University Summer Jazz Program. Here, Keith developed his capacity as an artist as he learned the history, formulas and theories of jazz. He also perfected his execution of styles including Rock, Soul, R&B, Blues and Smooth Jazz.
His formal training and consistent dedication to hard work and practice have enabled him to impress and inspire his audiences, and given him the opportunity to play with some of the well-known artists of this era. Keith’s vast range of experience has molded him into an ideal Saxophonist for any setting. His smooth jazz experience includes opening up for several renowned artists such as Wayman Tisdale, Marion Meadows, Special EFX, and also performed with Bob James. He has toured the east coast and the south with blues artist E.C. Scott.
Keith has opened up for gospel artists including Richard Smallwood, Larnelle Harris, Jesse Dixon and Michael Terry, and has traveled throughout California and Texas with Nancy Harmon. He has performed at the New Christ Memorial Church of God In Christ, home of Pastor Andre Crouch in Los Angeles, and currently plays at “The Word” Church, home of Pastor R.A. Vernon in Cleveland. Keith has had the honor if sitting in with jazz recording artists Wynton Marsalis and Secu Bunch. Keith’s awesome talent, diverse experience and impressive maturity make him an excellent musician and professional. Keith McKelley is endorsed by CannonBall Music and is also one of the Top 50 Artists for Live 2.0. NYC.
