TBSP is a contemporary Power Trio that incorporates the stylings of several genres into their musical pallet. The band blends blues, funk, progressive rock, and traditional music in to a product that could be best described as Americana Rock.
The band starting playing out together in Columbus during August 2007. Since this time The Big Sky Project has recorded two Albums, received air time in North Carolina, has had write-ups in the Springfield, Ohio Newspaper and several small promotions in Columbus' local papers. The band is comprised from talented and experienced musicians who have been performing through neighboring states and small venues for several years.
The original band included Dan Prolago, Sam Manzella, and John Ohalek. The Trio has since replaced their drummer with Matt Hopkins a talented percussionist with several years of live performance experience under his belt. Venues/Clubs that the band has played/are playing include Ruby Tuesday, Scarlet and Grey Café, Whiskey Dicks, The Dolphin Lounge and Slapsy Maxies.
