Distractors inception began as far back as late 2006. Their debut single 'Last Stand' followed in early 2007 garnering them many admirers in their hometown and numerous playlists on Irelands airwaves. The following year saw an invitation to SXSW as well as a second single 'Conversation Killer' which again gained the band many admirers with airplay on national and International Radio including XFM and Radio 1.In 2008 the band released their Manly with Stanley E.P,following this they were twice nominated for Artist of the week on XFM in both Manchester and london.In the last year alone they have toured with The Charlatans, Inner City Pirates as well as opening for Cold War Kids,Rumble Strips and Tokyo Police Club to name a few.The Band are currently recording for their debut album which is set for release Autumn 2009,although they will take a break from recording to play at this years Oxegen Festival in July......
