Debut CD "Funk in Your Hand" was released early 2006 consisting of Acoustic driven funk and R&B tunes.
Now with an all electric sound and more FUNK than ever the band is starting their follow up CD @ Rusted Roots - Liz Berlins - Mr. Smalls Studios in Pittsburgh PA.

Kratt and McCall had previously worked together in several bands including, well-known Pittsburgh jam band Pied Piper. The pair toured with Pied Piper sharing the stage with some of the jam band worlds most reckognized names; Dark Star Orchestra, ekoostik hookah, and The Derek Trucks Band, among others. Prior to joining the Allstars, Lawson, Thomas and Varasse had been playing as the blues trio Spin Cycle. Adding the missing ingredient that pushes the Allstars' head-nodding grooves into the realm of Cosmic Soul Funk are: Mark Custer on Trumpet player plays in Pittsburghs Steel City Brass Band as well as numerous Latin and Jazz outfits through out Pittsburgh and Taki Batis on Keys.
CK9 and the Old E Allstars have also graced Pittsburghs most elite stages and events. From the get-go CK9 and the Old E Allstars has had the pleasure and oppurtunity to work with the folks from Pittsburgh's City Paper opening doors to city wide events. The band has the pleasure to say they were the first band to headline Pittsburgh City Paper's monthly music event Sound Kitchen, and also performed at Pittsburgh's Southside Works Concert Series both to rave reviews. They have also played Pittsburgh's premiere national venues as well; Hard Rock Cafe, Mr. Smalls Theatre, Club Cafe, and the Rex Theatre.
The group loves to play for new crowds and began hitting the road heavily, playing festivals and venues throughout the tri-state region. The group's debut album "Funk In Your Hand" was released in the fall of 2006, featuring a mixture of funk and R&B jams. Look for us at a venue near you and don't forget...
