This band has been through some great times and hard times, as of late. Through it all, it seems they are still focused. I don't know what the indie labels that cater to post-hardcore are waiting on. A great showing on Taste Of Chaos made me a believer.

Escape is the long awaited new release from Boston's very own Therefore I Am. It's also a one-way ticket to leave your everyday life behind you... at least for a while.
The band's Escape is on stage - where they tune out the world, have no worries, feel no pain and are able to live completely in the moment along with their audience. THEREFORE I AM released their highly-anticipated new EP 'ESCAPE' with (ex-Hot Rod Circuit drummer) producer Mike Poorman (Paulson, TREOS, Piebald) on November 13th. ESCAPE debuted at #17 on Newbury Comics overall Top 30 for 2 weeks straight and has been on Smartpunk.com's Top 30 since it's release.
With their passion securely in check and their hard-work ethic in hand, the band made 2006 a memorable and successful one with their first full U.S. tour, 2 east coast tours, landing a coveted spot on the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands Warped Tour stage and cutting a demo with esteemed producer Matt Squire (Panic! At the Disco, The Receiving End Of Sirens). 2007 has already continued that momentum landing the opening spot on Rockstar's Taste of Chaos local date, being featured in Alternative Press Magazine as a "Best Unsigned Band of the Month" and featured as one of the "Top 30 Unsigned Bands in the U.S." on DailyChorus.com.
After a successful 5-week Full U.S. tour in the Fall of 2006 supporting their latest EP You are connected. these Boston boys wasted no time releasing their much anticipated new single �Farewell, via Park� produced by Matt Squire whose ever growing resume includes Panic! At The Disco, The Receiving End of Sirens and Boys Like Girls.
Spawned from suburban life in late 2004, it's only fitting that THEREFORE I AM have become heroes to their fans who have grown up with the same woes and boredom of living in the Boston suburbs. Grateful of their diehard following, the band strives to create a bond between themselves and their audience - speaking through them rather than at them.
Riding on sincere vocal melodies, searing dual-guitars, ambient electronic undercurrents, and a rhythm section that orders you to move, THEREFORE I AM songs are distinctive and immediately embedded in your memory like a first kiss.
Carrying their punk and hardcore pasts proudly, you can expect much of the same explosive energy and enthusiasm from their performances ringing through clubs, halls, churches and pretty much anywhere that has electricity.
Now with a new CD coming out in the Fall, a dedicated fan base growing in New England and beyond, two self-released EPs, a Split 7" record, and extensive touring under their belts, THEREFORE I AM plans to continue their commanding stage show and making music that is honest, youthful and determined.
