Bio
Selahphonic are musicians come filmmakers that bring their highly energetic, synth-fused rock to life with films that tell raw and real stories. The last 4 years have seen them bring their unique video-sonic shows to secondary colleges and all ages events across Australia.
Selahphonic’s edge is to use their music and film not just for entertainment but to engage this generation of young people where they’re at, sparking conversation around issues like identity, loneliness, bullying, sexuality and hope.
Originally founded in Melbourne, they have recently established themselves on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and are continuing to grow their impact on a national level.
Their most recent E.P and film ‘Elephannt’ was created in late 2010 in the cold wetlands of Melbourne. It has had audiences dancing to the infectious rhythms of “Spark” (the first single) and chanting for a revolution in “Noise” that would make the most devout Che Guevara follower envious.
Depending on the type of session required, Selahphonic are flexible in their presentation style ranging from full band and
film to acoustic music and storytelling.
