The members of Jeebus are a collection of young veteran session players, seasoned in genres from pop to jazz, who have come together to play original heavy, heavy, heavy rock.
The band gels around the hooky-but-incisive songs of Jedidiah Jeebus (Jed Davis), whose tunes have been recorded by everyone from Daniel Johnston to the Ramones. And it counts a true guitar legend among its members: longtime David Bowie axeman Reeves Jeebus (Reeves Gabrels).
The members of Jeebus are a formidable, passionate unit - after all, they're here to make the kind of music their regular gigs won't let them play! Merciless songs of alienation and desperation that are, somehow, also fun to listen to.
Jeebus releases a new free MP3 single every month through their website, jeebusrocks.com. Their first single, "Mock Cheer", was produced by the legendary T. Erdelyi - original Ramones drummer and producer Tommy Ramone.
