Summary

3 Sonicbids artists will be selected to showcase their talents at the Australasian Worldwide Music Expo in Melbourne, Australia from November 13-16.  2014 marks the 7th edition of Australias premier music industry conference and showcase event for roots music.  Over 500 high-profile local and international music representatives from some of the worlds leading festivals, record labels, booking agencies and arts organizations will be in attendance.

AWME pioneers new networks and creates opportunities for musicians world wide by engaging with industry representatives from across Australia and around the globe for four days of music, workshops, seminars and showcase concerts.

Artists that have showcased at AWME since 2008 have secured substantial results including: export, touring and festival opportunities such as Glastonbury (UK), Fuji Rock (Japan), Winnipeg Folk Festival (Canada), Calgary Folk Music Festival (Canada), Sierra Nevada World Music Festival (USA), various WOMADs, GlobalFEST (USA), Sakifo Festival (Reunion Islands), Sziget Festival (Hungary), Ulsan World Music Festival (South Korea), Colours of Ostrava Festival (Czech Republic), Big Chill (UK), Sfinks Mixed (Belgium), numerous Australian festivals including Bluesfest, WOMADelaide, Woodford Folk Festival, Port Fairy Folk Music Festival, Boomerang, Adelaide Festival of the Arts and many more; as well as countless deals with booking agents and record labels locally and abroad, increased media presence and much more.

<p><strong>ARTISTS/BANDS WISHING TO SHOWCASE AT AWME 2014 ARE REQUIRED TO MEET AND FULFILL THE SHOWCASE CRITERIA AND CONDITIONS.</strong></p><p>AWME 2014 SHOWCASE CRITERIA AND CONDITIONS:</p><p>* Artists/submissions need to be EXPORT READY.&nbsp;<br />This includes a live performance at worldwide international standards as well as HIGH-QUALITY PRODUCTION AND PRESENTATION LEVELS AS WELL AS PROFESSIONAL QUALITY MATERIALS, including your marketing materials.</p><p>* Artists need to be available to attend and perform at AWME on any day with NO PROGRAMMING DATE RESTRICTIONS.</p><p>* Artists/submissions must have PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT or be established as a successful self-managed group/musician.&nbsp;<br />We strongly recommend having a PROFESSIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND SUPPORT TEAM available to assist in marketing your performance at AWME in the lead-up to the event, and to maximise any opportunities that may arise from showcasing at AWME.<br />Management will need to be available to attend AWME for the full duration of the event to represent the artist.</p><p>* EXCLUSIVITY IS A CONDITION OF SHOWCASING AT AWME.&nbsp;<br />AWME requests that the artist does not perform in Melbourne, or in the state of Victoria for the period of three weeks before or after AWME, without prior arrangement with AWME.</p><p>* Artists/submissions need to have PROFESSIONAL HIGH-QUALITY PRODUCT &amp; MARKETING MATERIAL, including website, CD/s, recent live performance film clips, detailed recent biography and good quality high-res images.</p><p>* Artists/submissions need to be ready and willing to tour or perform nationally and internationally if performance opportunities are brokered.</p><p><strong>** IMPORTANT - Please ensure you have read and meet these criteria before submitting! **</strong></p>
