Winterfolk VI - Blues & Roots Festival

WINTERFOLK – The Great Indoor Music Event – Now in its SIXTH YEAR!


Toronto’s WINTERFOLK Festival is selecting artists to fill showcase stages on February 8, 9, 10, 11, 2008.


All Showcase winners will receive the following:

• A paid 45-minute set and a minimum of one additional shared set as part of a workshop or seminar. There are 8 slots reserved exclusively for Sonicbids artists!
  
  
• Full WINTERFOLK Festival publicity and promotion! Selected artists will have their pictures and/or bio featured on the WINTERFOLK website, in print advertisements, flyers, the WINTERFOLK Program Guide, and in other applicable forms of promotion.
  
  
• Radio spot and interview consideration! Your band’s name and contact info will be sent to press lists for inclusion in radio and other media. In addition, press and other prominent industry people will be alerted to your set times and locations.
  
  
• Artist passes for access to the stage, backstage, and hospitality privileges valid for the duration of the festival. You will also receive passes to attend private artist parties and an information session.
  
  
• A spot in our merchandise area. We will take care of sales for all of your merch-related products.
  
  
• A double-room for one night of paid accommodations.

We will do everything we can to ensure that your WINTERFOLK weekend is a rewarding personal and musical growth experience and a large step forward in your career. The event will also include workshops for guitar playing, songwriting, industry seminars for musicians, and more. WINTERFOLK is committed to offering performance opportunities and public exposure to new or emerging artists - and all artists with little or no festival experience. WINTERFOLK encourages genres including but not restricted to singer/songwriter, roots, blues, acoustic, folk, ethnic, pop, world, and native and country.
