"VERONIKA"

WHO AM I?….

…Singer, dancer, actress, model blah, blah, blah…. I don’t think this kind of data will ever give anyone a clue about the reasons for my self-expression or personal inner motivation.

I was born in the Ukraine but have lived abroad since I was 16. I dipped my feet into the music scene in 2012 after a tiring period of soul searching. I have tried modeling, acting, hosting television in the Ukraine, Italy, and the United States. At some point, I focused on the real things that matter in life and found my inner balance. Songwriting came first which is what I felt very strongly about. Singing was next along with ballet dancing and pole art. It became obvious to me that all of my past experiences were just a warm-up for what I really wanted to do. To me, music art is having lyrics with a clear message, music that is a universal language, and dance as a visual message and a way to deliver it. Music does not care about color, race, your place of birth or your social or economic situation. The only thing that is important is what you are made of and what kind of message your deliver.
I was so tired of the intolerance and prejudice from people who think they have a right to call any blonde Slavic girl a bitch because of where she was born, judging someone just because of their place of birth. It does not matter where you were born or where you came from or even you education level. People would stigmatize me because I was born in a former Soviet Republic. It makes me sick when people outwardly express their anger against people because of their nationality, abusing others and discriminating against them because of where they are from.
he ideas behind my music are: Deep Respect of People’s Rights, Unconditional Love, Self-Improvement/Development, Personal Growth Everyday and Forever

"Singer VERONIKA Back For Another Round"

After receiving over 2 million hits with her first video release Ain’ Russian Doll, VERONIKA is back. She is currently working on her next video release for her 2013 single CameRA. The video is said to be directed by Yevgeniy Timokhin who has created some stellar videos for music sensations Alexa Luna as well as boy band Kazaky. After taking over the airwaves with Ain’t Russian Doll, CameRA is sure to make a splash when the video is released.

VERONIKA came on the music scene in 2012 with the release of singles C.I.A. and Ain’t Russian Doll. She released two additional singles in 2013 entitled CameRA and Sing. It was not until the release of her debut video for Ain’t Russian Doll that she began to receive national attention. After receiving more than 2 million YouTube hits she received her own Vevo channel. The rest is now history.

VERONIKA is originally from Ukraine, but left at an early age. After trying her skills in various professions, she began her music career in 2012. She writes her own music and dances in her own videos. Her lover for ballet and pole arts comes through in Ain’t Russian Doll. VERONIKA has released or is in the process of releasing a total of four videos in the last six months. In addition to Ain’t Russian Doll and CameRA, VERONIKA is scheduled to release videos for C.I.A. and ToyBoy in the next couple of months.

VERONIKA is not a stranger to the camera. She has spent time as a television host in both Europe and the United States. She is also not shy as she performs her own dancing in her videos. It is clear that she is an up and coming star who is going to explode on the scene soon. She has already shown that she belongs by staking her place in the music world with Aint Russian Doll.

CameRA is said to be an extended look at her view on prejudice and intolerance. VERONIKA has been extremely vocal about this since she has hit the music scene and it is reflected in Ain’t Russian Doll. Her style is something graceful that you just cannot miss. If you have not already, her video for Ain’t Russian Doll is a must see. Personally, I just can’t wait for the release of the new video.

"Ukraine Making Its Mark On American Culture"

VERONIKA:
Born in Ukraine, VERONIKA left at the age of 16 and has been making her mark on the world ever since. She had careers in modeling and television hosting in Europe prior to coming to the United States to pursue a career in music. Her first single (Ain’t Russian Doll) reached 2 million hits on YouTube in less than 2 months. Her dancing style has compared to that of Mila Kunis (also of Ukrainian decent) in Black Swan. She is also working with notable director Yevgenily Timokhin to produce an upcoming video for her song entitled CamerRA. - Industrynewscorp

"Music Review – Ain’t Russian Doll (VERONIKA)"

After receiving 2 million hits on YouTube and supplier her own music channel with Vevo, VERONIKA shows no signs of stopping. With the release of her first single Ain’t Russian Doll, she has already established herself as a notable singer in the industry. Originating from Ukraine, she traveled the world at an early age working different professions such as modeling and dancing which come through in her video for Ain’t Russian Doll. Now in the United States, she is working on her next video for her some CameRA. However, Ain’t Russian Doll is what we are focusing on here.
You must watch the video the first time you listen to this song. It is perfectly choreographed and shows off her ballerina skills. The video has already been compared to the 2010 Darren Aronotsky film Black Swan. He dancing style in the video is definitely of the caliber of the movie and reminds you of Mila Kunis (That 70’s Show & Oz) who is also a fellow daughter of Ukraine.
VERONIKA’s music style is unique. Her passionate voice makes you hear and understand the message that she is trying to get across. Ain’t Russian Doll is clearly a statement about gender discrimination and her website also confirms this. “I was so tired of the intolerance and prejudice from people who think they have a right to call any blonde Slavic girl a bitch,” she says on her website. It is clear from the strong tone in her voice that she portrays this statement in the song.
If you have not yet listened to this song, you need to give it a try. It is receiving airplay on many radio stations and will soon be national (if not international). Ain’t Russian Doll is a clear example of what VERONIKA stands for and we cannot wait until her next song release. You can see here Vevo channel showing more than 2 Million views on YouTube. - Allvoices

"Bio"

VERONIKA is a recording artist, singer-songwriter, model and actress of Ukrainian-Jewish origin. She was born in Kiev, Ukraine on July 15, 1991, moved abroad at the age of 16. She began her music career in 2013 with a release of her first single and music video Ain’t Russian Doll, which received regular airplay throughout the United States including temporary reaching No.1 on YouTube charts as the most viewed music video after receiving more than two million hits in a very short time. The video also received airplay on MTV.com and MuchMusic.com.
Veronika was a law student in a high school, received dozens of awards for her scientific works in the field of jurisprudence and human rights. She started to work at the age of 15 trying to make some pocket money while working as a promotion model, English to Ukrainian translator, a tourist guide. Veronika entered University in Kiev a Faculty of Social work; she underwent an internship training in drug rehabs, worked with HIV- infected people, orphans and disabled children. But at the age of 16 she was noticed by a model scouter from Milan and signed a contract with model agency for Italy and USA. She left Ukraine and transformed her life completely. At 19 she went to Hollywood to study film acting. In 2012 Veronika took a strictly motivated decision to build up herself as a singer. It was not accidently.
She dealt a lot with intolerance and prejudice on the basis of her nationality. Being a “Russian blonde” abroad became not so easy for her. People often stigmatize girls from former Soviet countries because of their nationality and place of birth. Veronika is a representative of new generation, which didn’t leave during Soviet times but it looks like this country still exists somehow. “I just prayed to God to show me my own way out of this unfair situation of prejudice and discrimination, which I experienced in my life. Songwriting and singing were the first things, which really came as a precious gift from the above.” Just in 1 year Veronika wrote more than 30 songs, studied classical ballet dance on pointe shoes and pole dance acrobatics. “I want to show the real women power with my music, my songs and performances. I’ve always admired of Madonna, Michael Jackson, Tupac Shakur and Eminem. They inspired me a lot”.
Veronika went to Ukraine to record her demo album; there she’s met film director Yevgeniy Timokhin, who previously directed the music videos for KAZAKY band, famous high-heeled male dancers. Veronika caught an attention of Timokhin after he listened Veronika’s songs “Ain’t Russian Doll” and “CIA”. This impressed Timokhin, who then started to shoot for Veronika all her music videos. At the moment there are “C.I.A.”, “Ain’t Russian Doll” and “CAMERA”. The first one was "Ain’t Russian Doll", it was released in February 2013 on Vevo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxuU7LrZTG0), there you can watch Veronika dancing on pointe shoes, showing up her skills in classical ballet. The next one was “C.I.A.” which is dedicated to pole dance. “Toyboy” was released in September 2013 on Vevo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptQW4pI73Ng), it’s an animated music video, a cartoon for grown ups. Primarily Veronika had an idea of music video in the form of anime or a “fashion cartoon” about seeking upon your second half, a man-woman relations. “ToyBoy” was created by Animation Studio “Toon Drive” (http://toondrive.com/?lc=en), it was drawn by very talented Ukrainian artists and graphic designers Irina Shaganyan and Konstantin Holodkevich.

November 2013 is a time of CAMERA music video. The song is about a love story between an actress and film director, Veronika wrote it for her favorite Yevgeniy Timokhin. His part was played by international gay icon, ex-gay porn star, Francois Sagat. He acts in the video as a straight man, who has a love affair with Veronika. Their love is shown through gleam of camera and shooting process. But it’s about a war on religious basis between Jews and Arabs. Francois Sagat represents Arabs, he has Islamic symbol a Star and crescent tattooed on his back, and Veronika represents Jews, in real life she always wears David Star. Middle East conflict is not an accidental subject, cause Veronika has Jewish routes and she carries a lot about misinformation about the Middle East, inaccurate characterization of Israel and Arab countries, anti-Jewish and anti-Muslim prejudice. CAMERA is also a name of media-monitoring and research organization Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (www.camera.org), which promotes accurate coverage of Israel and the Middle East. The love and war affairs are shown through symbols: David Star, Star and Crescent, words in Hebrew ???? (Love) and Arabic ?? (Evil) and a heart sign symbol of piece and love. Interesting fact, that a word RA, which Veronika used repeatedly in the lyrics of her song, means Evil in Hebrew language (???). The message behind “Camera” music video is a freedom of - Wikipedia

Bio

VERONIKA is a singer-songwriter of Ukrainian- Jewish origin. Born on in Kiev, Ukraine, she moved to the U.S. at an early age. She has taken on careers as a recording artist, songwriter, model, and actress. Now at the age of 22 she is ready to take the music world by storm.

During her lifetime, she dealt with a lot of intolerance and prejudice on the basis of her nationality. Being blonde and from Russia, she was often stigmatized because she was associated with the former Soviet Republics. As a representative of a new generation, VERONIKA speaks now about her experiences through her music. She began her music career in 2013. In as little as a year, she wrote more than 30 songs as well as studied classical ballet dance and pole dance acrobatics. While visiting Ukra icaught the attention of music video director Yevgeniy Timokhin (famous for his videos for KAZAKY) with her songs Aint Russian Doll and CIA. From that time on, Timokhin shoots all of her music videos. Their first one was Aint Russian Doll, released in February 2013. The video temporary reached No. 1 on YouTube charts as the most viewed video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxuU7LrZTG0). This music video worked its way to MTV and MuchMusic where it became an instant hit. After that VERONIKA released an animated music video Toyboy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptQW4pI73Ng), which also made a splash on the U.S. Music Scene. The next music video CameRA will be released in the end of November, a teaser of the video is available on VEVO (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhRWzSGCQOw). This music video will speak of love, freedom, human rights, and religious beliefs. The video features international gay icon Francois Sagat, ex-gay porn star, who plays a straight man in the video. The video features a love story between singer (VERONIKA) and film director, played by Sagat; it also displays the religious conflict in the Middle East with Veronika representing Jews and Sagat representing Arabs. The name of the song coincides with the name of media organization CAMERA (Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America) and speaks of Middle East conflict between Israel and Arab countries.

Many of VERONIKAs songs are dedicated to womans rights such as Aint Russian Doll, Soldier of Universe, Tank, I Was In A Box, and Phoenix. In her opinion, countries such as Ukraine, Russia, Belorus, Moldova and other ex-USSR countries do not recognize such rights for women. Womens rights are often ignored and suppressed due to these countries traditional and inherent historical exercise of rights of men over women. She expresses this opinion visually in her music videos, which are though provoking and reflect her inner world while showing her life philosophy. VERONIKA is an admirer of Madonna, Michael Jackson, Tupac, and Eminem. Some little known facts about her is that she is a dedicated Kabbalah student of the International Tzfat Kabbalah World Center in Israel as well as the holder of a Masters Degree in ping-pong. She also studied Italian, French, German, and Hebrew as well as participated in track and field events such as sprinting, hurdles, and the triple jump.
