ATP:
ATP (Dave Shearer) takes his name from a molecule found in the human body called Adenosine Tri-Phosphate. However, it’s the science of music that he would have you remember him for, especially his own brand of deeper jazz influenced drum’n’bass.

LTJ Bukem was the first drum’n’bass he heard and the legendary figure continues to be an important figure. Becoming hooked after borrowing a Bukem CD, ATP’s interest in drum’n’bass started in 97-98. After easing up on the sax, ATP sought to make more of his experience with drum’n’bass through DJing and eventually production. He learnt basic production from his cousin and continues to hone these skills. Before starting to play gigs around Melbourne, he started a radio show “Nu Soul” on bassdrive.com. ATP now has supported many international artists including Greg Packer, the Brookes Brothers and John B.

Already, ATP’s smooth musical stylings have been snapped up with tunes on Liquid Brilliants and further releases on Influenza Media, BIOS, Fokuz, Urban Chemistry, Point 9 Audio and Golden Orb. With support from the likes of LTJ Bukem, Makoto, Greenfly, Vice Versa, Crissy Cris, Stunna, Amaning, Physics, Flirt with Dirt, Qumulus, DJ Clart, Lenzman, Overfiend, Jay Rome, Youthman and Radiata, ATP is one to keep an eye on.


SUBSID: (Bruno H. Rezende):
Bruno H. Rezende de Souza A.K.A Subsid is a brilliant young and very talented dj/producer from Sao Paulo, Brazil, who has his finger directly on the pulse of today’s jazzy liquid style sound. At the fresh young age of 19, Bruno has been taken by music since the day he was born. With only a year or so of production time logged in, Subsid has already grasped the fundamentals of a proper production style. A style which can only be attested by the fact that he began his DJ career alongside some amazing talent and support of established artists like Stunna, Spy, Operon, Mutated Forms and many more. Urban Chemistry is proud to have this fresh young talent as part of the crew and can’t wait to see what comes up next from Bruno.


SIGURT:
Sigurt (Perter Durica) is by far Slovakia’s rising secret in the world of Drum and Bass. Peter started producing Drum and Bass in early 2007, but his first touch with music started long before then. Sigurt began expressing his talents during his teenage years playing guitar in an amateur Rock group. His musical emotion and expressions have been formed from genres such as instrumental Jazz to styles such as Rock and World music, giving Peter a vast diversion of multiple musical styles. Gradually Sigurt found himself crossing into the realms of Electronic music and stumbled upon his first experience with the intricate beat structures of Drum and Bass. Instantly Sigurt knew that this style would be the perfect choice for him to begin crafting his production techniques. In just a short few years Sigurt has elevated his abilities as a Drum and Bass Artist and has released several tracks on various avenues, but this is truly only the beginning for this Slovakian based producer.

The SQUARE:
The Square (Aleksander Markovich) was born 1989 in Belgrade, Serbia. At the age of eight he took guitar and singing lessons and later he learned to play the piano as well. He came into contact with drum and bass when his father bought him Itj Bukem's "Earth 1" at the age of 11. When he moved to Vienna in 2005 Aleksandar discovered his interest in producing music through the enormous drum and bass scene of Vienna. In 2006 he started to produce electronic music by himself. In 2007 Aleks released his music on several different labels. He releases music under his real name "Aleksander Markovic" and his pseudonym "The Square". Aleksandars music is influenced by Jazz, Rock and Ambiental music. You can hear all these different kinds in his music. His interest is now mostly on drum and bass. Aleksandar Markovic, "The Square", has had releases on over 15 record labels over 25 times. His intention is to touch his listeners with his music, if it's at home or on the dancefloor. In 2008 he founded his own label named "Human Soul Recordings", as the name implies, people should suggest. In 2008 Aleksandar started to work as a DJ and got interested in harder drum and bass. You will never know how his sets start or how they will end, you have to see him live to even be able to visualise it.
