Old Settler's Music Festival is Central Texas' signature music event featuring Grammy - winning Americana and roots music, arts & crafts, camping, children's activities, a youth talent concert, and a selection of healthy, tasty food concessions & tantalizing libations. Their definition of "Americana" and "roots" music includes a variety of genres -- bluegrass, blues, jam bands, folk, country, gospel, and singer-songwriter (usually with bands). The festival features about 30 bands on four stages as well as performance workshops from many of our festival musicians. The 2009 festival will be held Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 16, 17, 18 & 19. On Thursday there is a "Settle In" show at the Campground, while Friday and Saturday feature three stages at the Salt Lick Pavilion, and Sunday closes the event with a gospel band, followed by eclectic mix of festival artists.

Americana International in Nottinghamshire, UK is Europe's #1 Americana lifestyle event and features over 40 great artists from the UK, Europe & the US. The Congress Theater is a 4,000 capacity, historic music venue just outside of downtown Chicago. There is live music 2-3 nights per week at this historic venue. All genres and ethnic communities are hosted. Artists are usually booked a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 6 months in advance.

Artists should be able to draw 1,000 in the area, but if a headliner is already booked who can draw fill the place, artists with less of a draw will be considered. The Blues, Jazz & Folk Music Society of Marietta, Ohio will hold its 17th Annual "River City Ohio Blues Competition" on February 20 and 21, 2009 at The Lafayette Hotel in historic downtown Marietta. For the 17th year, Blues bands and solo/duo blues acts will compete for cash prizes and BJFMS sponsorship to The Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge (IBC) held every year in Memphis, Tennessee.

The River City Ohio Blues Competition is the oldest and largest blues talent competition in Ohio, with 18 competition slots to be filled by local and regional blues acts. Blues bands and solo/duo blues acts will compete for more than 2 days to win the grand prize of $1,000 cash and sponsorship to the 2010 IBC in Memphis, TN. Second and third place winners will receive $200 and $100 cash prizes respectively. The Competition has no restrictions on age or location, however all competitors must be blues acts. The National Gospel Artist Showcase is a nonprofit organization designed to assist gospel artists with marketing, promotions, and booking.

We work with World Visions International; a non profit Christian organization that works with children at risk in over 100 developing countries.

Now in our Third year, the National Gospel Artist Showcase has launched a new TV show on the AIB Network. Artists who register to perform do so on a voluntary basis. The showcase is seen by over 850,000 viewers in the Atlanta metro area as well as being broadcast on Comcast channel 5. At least 3 artist form Sonicbids will be selected. Blues Festival Guide has extended its submission period to January 10, 2009 so that artists away fro the holidays can still have time to get their submissions in...

The Blues Festival Guide is "THE guide to the world of the Blues". As a supplement to the annual print edition, the Blues Festival Guide also has a major presence and influence online via its website and newsletter also known as the "E-guide"; read weekly by 16,500+ blues fans, talent buyers, radio programmers and record label executives.

The annual "Blues Artist on the Rise" competition, now in its third year, gives blues artists a chance to be evaluated against other up-and-coming blues artists. 12 semi-finalists will be selected to receive FREE advertising/promotion "showcases" in the E-guide. Each showcase will include the artist's bio, at least one photo, and a song performed by the artist.

At the end of the submission period overall winners will be named in the categories of Solo/Duo and Band. Those overall winners will be heavily publicized in the E-guide as officially winning "The 2009 Blues Artist On the Rise" competition. PLUS each category winner will receive free banner ad space on the Blues Festival Guide website for 6 months as well as free banner ad space on the E-guide for 6 months. Each category winner's prize package is valued at $1,000.

The "2008 Blues Artists on the Rise" winners were Laurie Morvan Band in the Band category, and Sonny Moorman in the Solo/duo category.

Blues artists are evaluated based on:

DEAD Famous Artists is a compilation series initially released on Burnlounge in the US and non-exclusively on other online retail sites to stimulate artist exposure, create market visibility and generate sales.
