Why, one of the hits in the Poet in Process album : FREE WAY, is one of the star songs that you can listen at the Hellboy II soundtrack. Guillermo del Toro’s film is going to be on the spanish cinemas from the 29th of August.
The film is already achieving success and good critics. It is not surprising since Guillermo del Toro is one of the best international film producers of the moment.
Lately, Poet in process has participated in the Spanish TV show soundtrack edited by Sony BMG named ‘Cuestión de Sexo’ with different songs from their last edited album Free Way.
They have also had the oportunity to work with Enrique Morente in his last DVD where he dedicates poems to Pablo Picasso, offering the multiple visions of the painter.
On the other hand, Sergi Arola has uploaded 4 songs from their album Free Way in his website, combining two of his great big passions: gastronomy and music.

From their latest projects it is interesting to highlight the band’s presence at the T-Shirt Festival, Valencia (Spain) that will take place the 19th and 20th of September 2008.
The IV Edition of the GREENSPACE HEINEKEN FESTIVAL in Valencia ( from the 22th to 25th of October ) has invited Poet in Process to preform their show during the event .

Poet in Process: La energía que gustó a Del Toro

Desprenden ilusión. A los Poet in Process les gusta lo que hacen, saben que lo hacen bien y transmiten ese entusiasmo, tanto en su música como en sus gestos. Ya su primera demo, This is just a beginning, era toda una declaración de intenciones.
Poco se imaginaba esta formación barcelonesa que un día, durante una actuación en el programa Carta Blanca de La 2, coincidirían con el director mexicano Guillermo del Toro. Estaban nerviosos, y Del Toro lo notó. "Aprieta el esfínter, cabrón", le susurró a uno de ellos. Poco después se interesaría por su música. ¿Cómo acabó todo? La canción Why --que abre Free way, el primer disco de los Poet-- suena en una escena clave del último filme de Del Toro, Hellboy II.
Algunas canciones del disco, cargado de vitalidad contenida y de energía urbana, recuerdan a The Cranberries, pero también se vislumbran toques de pop rock y grunge. Dani, el batería, asegura que les encanta componer, mientras Rubio, el guitarrista, asiente con la cabeza.
Pero moverse por el mercado no es fácil para un grupo español que canta en inglés, aunque teloneando a grupos como Muse y Stereophonics, entre otros, hayan cursado un máster acelerado en esto de hacer música. Natxo Arola, el bajista --sí, es el hermano del famoso chef--, lo explica: "Estamos moviendo el disco fuera de España, y la respuesta es mejor que aquí. Sonamos en radios de EEUU, Canadá, Holanda y Alemania, pero aquí, nada". Se les hace difícil luchar contra una industria, la de la música, capitalizada por "los de siempre", que se olvida de abrir mercado a los nuevos grupos.
'SPAIN IS DIFFERENT'
Lynne, la vocalista, es de madre inglesa. Su imaginario musical echó raíces escuchando música anglosajona de los años 60 y 70 y, claro, escribe en este idioma. Dice Natxo que algunos productores les sugirieron pasarse al castellano para que todo fuera más fácil. Y se negaron. Forma parte de su identidad. Hay conjuntos alemanes, suecos y franceses que cantan en inglés, y en su país nadie les pone trabas. Pero, en España, todo es diferente. "Culturizar a la gente --dice Natxo-- es la última revolución que queda por hacer aquí". Entusiasmados, sí, pero con las ideas bien claras. - Grupo ZETA

El cuarteto catalán Poet in Process pone la banda sonora a 'Hellboy II'
Se formaron en 2003 y, tras varios cambios y algunos EP, grabaron su primer disco, Free Way. En plena promoción, coincidieron con Guillermo del Toro en un programa de televisión. Habló con ellos, los escuchó y decidió ficharlos para la banda sonora de Hellboy II. ¿El tema elegido? Why. ¿Su nombre? Poet in Process.
Lynne Martí, Rubio, Natxo Arola y Dani K-t-na son los cuatro poetas en construcción que aún no acaban de creerse su suerte. “Es un corazón, un osito”, dicen al unísono del cineasta mexicano. “os ayudó mogollón, porque era nuestra primera tele, estábamos cortaos, lo típico, y él nos echó un cable”, cuenta Natxo. Dani añade: “A cada invitado le regalaban una botella de vino y todos la guardaban. Él pidió un sacacorchos y se la bebió con nosotros, hablando”.
Ahora, gracias a ese encuentro, Free Way suena más allá de su Barcelona residencial e, incluso, de las fronteras patrias. Pero, ¿cómo es el disco? “Tiene varios caminos por recorrer”, explica Lynne. “Ha sido el resultado de buscar un sonido donde todas las canciones son diferentes, porque es la aportación de cada uno de nosotros como individuo. Hemos logrado conseguir el sonido Poet in Process”, matiza Natxo. Un sonido pop rock que a partir de marzo los llevará a Estados Unidos y Canadá, donde no tendrán ningún problema para entenderse: se expresan en inglés. “Podemos cantar en castellano, pero no suena natural”, concluye Natxo. - ANA LOBO

ENGLISH BIOGRAPHY:
Long Time No See is the new work of POET IN PROCESS, the result of many years of great joys, disappointments, enriching and motivating experiences. The great struggle to take over the project gives birth to their second album, Long Time No See, divided into 3 EP’s (One, Two and Three).
The incorporation of Ariel Olivero in 2012 strengthens the bonds between the band members enriching the quality of the compositions and offering shows full of energy, sensitivity, illusion and humanity all over the country.
Time is ephemeral when you enjoy each moment and music allows it to become.
It’s been a long time since that summer of 2002 when Lynne Marti, Nato Arola and Toni Sanchez met by chance and stated up POET IN PROCESS. As a result of that encounter they recorded different demos, “I Want You to Know” and “Keep Clear” and finally record their first album “Free Way” with the recent incorporation of drummer Dani K-T-NA.
After their first appearance in the Radio 3 RTVE concerts, a chance was given to become the support artist to STEREOPHONICS ( sala Apolo), OK GO ( sala Apolo), ALBERT HAMMOND JR ( sala Heineken Madrid), TAKE THAT ( Palau St. Jordi), MUSE ( Tour 2006 Spain, Portugal and France) offering them the opportunity to enjoy and live the quality of big shows. The course progresses and destiny puts in their way the film director Guillermo Del Toro. The song “WHY” becomes part of the sound track for the film HELL BOY II, 40’.
POET IN PROCESS was crossing borders; the participation in the film opened up a path to foreign countries, where their music can currently be listened in every corner of the planet. Even the songs light an interest to the recognised designer CAROLINA HERRERA and6 of their tunes are used for the official web site, Carolina Herrera NY.
The incorporation of the actual member, Francisco Guisado (Rubio), gives a new touch in the composition of the songs. After their collaboration and incredible experience in the collaboration with ENRIQUE MORENTE in Granada, the band hits the road to Canada and the United States to play in Toronto’s CMW and Austin’s SXSW festivals.
After the American experience, the band decides to work hard for more than a year and create new songs for their next album, Long Time no See.
During 2011 the band works hard on their second album, Long Time No See, overcoming infinity of setbacks that lead to a craftwork album with much great professional and technical collaboration and performing everywhere.

Con los años y las nuevas incorporaciones la voz de Lynne Martí se ha rodeado de músicos que viven por y para hacer música.
En 2012 con la incorporación a la batería de Ariel Olivero POET IN PROCESS sigue creciendo, trabajando para seguir ofreciendo a sus oyentes un mejor espectáculo, sus directos son un compendio de sensibilidad, serenidad, ilusión y energía.
El tiempo es efímero cuando se disfruta cada momento y la música es de estas cosas que lo permiten.
