Summary
The BMI Unsigned Urban Showcase, held on April 11, 2013 in Atlanta, brings the biggest names in urban music together with talented up and coming artists in one outstanding night of entertainment. Drake, Lil' Wayne, T-Pain, Nas, Rick Ross and many more have performed at the showcase. Sonicbids artists are encouraged to submit their EPKs to get one of 4 reserved opening slots for a major, headlining artist at the 2013 showcase, held at Terminal West.
The 4 artists will not only be selected to open up for the 2013's headlining artist, but will also compete against each other for additional prizes. The winning artist will be determined by a live vote. The BMI Urban Unsigned Showcase is accepting submissions from hip hop, R&B and pop artists.
Please Note: This event is open to BMI affiliates only. Songwriters who are unaffiliated with a Performing Rights Organization (PRO) can join for free by clicking here.
Artists must have 2 songs, a hi-res photo, and a biography on their EPK in order to be considered.

About BMI:
Formed in 1939 as a non-profit-making performing right organization, BMI was the first to offer representation to songwriters of blues, country, jazz, r&b, gospel, folk, Latin and, ultimately, rock & roll. BMI was founded by radio executives to provide competition in the field of performing rights, to assure royalty payments to writers and publishers of music not represented by the existing performing right organization and to provide an alternative source of licensing for all music users.
Underlying everything BMI does is its philosophy: an open-door policy that welcomes songwriters, composers and music publishers of all disciplines, and helps them develop both the creative and business skills crucial to a career in music.
