Summary
Cincinnati's MidPoint Music Festival (MPMF) continues to grow, expecting to exceed last year's attendance of over 23,000. MPMF 2012 will be adding new venues including the historic Emery Theater, a new main stage and expanding into more all-ages and daytime programming.
MPMF has selected 700 Sonicbids artists since 2008, and 60 showcase positions are guaranteed for Sonicbids artists for MPMF 2012. Selected artists will receive a $100 stipend plus 3 Day Passes to the entire festival.
MidPoint Music Festival also continues this year with MidPoint's Indie Summer Series, a series of Friday night promotional (FREE) all-ages concerts on Cincinnati's Fountain Square June 1-August 31. Your EPK submission to MidPoint Music Festival automatically serves to include you for MidPoint's Indie Summer Series performer consideration.
After 10 years of featuring more than 20 stages and 250 performances over three days each year, MidPoint has developed a reputation as the place to find the next big thing. Many of MidPoint's 2011 performers made year-end lists for Best Album or Best New Artist in major music publications such as SPIN, Fader, Pitchfork, NME, Filter, Paste and Rolling Stone.

Jones, Best Coast, Phantogram, Surfer Blood, Caribou, Lydia Loveless, A Place To Bury Strangers, Cults, The Low Anthem, Okkervil River, Washed Out, The Dodos, Those Darlins, Jessica Lea Mayfield, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, STRFKR, Tristen, Beat Connection, Xiu Xiu, Pokey Lafarge, Mansions on the Moon, Brighton MA, Mates Of State, The Album Leaf, The Strange Boys, Felice Brothers, Heartless Bastards, Chairlift, Micachu and the Shapes, Kaki King, Bear Hands, Bright Light Social Hour, Wussy and Buffalo Killers.
Downtown Cincinnati and its historic Over-The-Rhine neighborhood are annually transformed to present the regions biggest indoor music festival within a famously tight, walkable MPMF footprint. This allows music lovers to witness multiple performances from all over the world each night.
