The legendary WSM Nashville, broadcasting the very best in Country, Americana, Bluegrass & the world famous Grand Ole Opry, will select one Sonicbids artist to perform at this year's Annual Tootsie's to the Ryman celebration on November 3, and open for the Robert Earl Keen. One emerging artist will play the stage where so many music legends have played: Tootsies Orchid Lounge in Nashville, TN. When the artist is done with their set at Tootsies, they will cross the alley and head right to the stage of the Ryman Auditorium to open for Robert Earl Keen as part of WSM's 86th birthday celebration./n/nThe legendary WSM Nashville, broadcasting the very best in Country, Americana, Bluegrass & the world famous "Grand Ole Opry," will select one Sonicbids artist to perform at this year's Annual Tootsie's to the Ryman celebration on Thursday, November 3rd, and open for the remarkable Robert Earl Keen. When the artist is done with their set at Tootsies, they will cross the alley and head right to the stage of the Ryman Auditorium to open for Robert Earl Keen as part of the 86 days of celebrating WSM's 86th birthday!

Bands are welcome to submit but artists MUST perform as an acoustic solo or duo. The first set at the historic Tootsies Orchid Lounge will be 30 minutes and the the second set at Ryman Auditorium will be 2-3 songs. Please note: there will not be an opportunity for sound check, and no drums.

Among the large contingent of talented songwriters who emerged in Texas in the 1980s and 1990s, Robert Earl Keen struck an unusual balance between sensitive story-portraits ("Corpus Christi Bay") and raucous barroom fun ("That Buckin' Song"). These two song types in Keen's output were unified by a mordant sense of humor that strongly influenced the early practitioners of what would become known as alternative country music.
