Taking place during Canadian Music Week, and featuring over 900 bands & artists from over 40 different countries, CMF's commitment to showcasing international acts is boundless! Last year's event featured Janelle Monae, Janet Jackson, Papa Roach, Jay Electronica & hundreds of emerging artists. Perform in front over 3,000 industry insiders & 600 media reps from Canada and all over the world. Canadian Music Fest is a once-a-year opportunity to get your band in front of over 3000 industry insiders and 600 media reps from Canada and all over the world - from A&R reps and music publishers to booking agents, promoters, and talent buyers. Produced by CAAMA, Canadian Music Fest takes place March 21-25, 2012 with over 900 artists filling over 60 venues to mark another installment of Canadas largest new music festival. From tomorrow's emerging artists to todays hottest concert hit-makers, you'll find them here. Last year alone featured performances from the following:
Janelle Monae, Janet Jackson, Papa Roach, Jay Electronica, Mother Mother, Bombay Bicycle Club, Esben and the Witch, The Sheepdogs, Middle Brother, J Mascis, Big Sugar, Mother Mother, Melissa Etheridge, Good Charlotte, Protest the Hero, Buckcherry, Finger Eleven, Sean Kingston, Shad, Hollerado, Land of Talk, Hannah Georgas, Die Mannequin, Eric Hutchinson, Karkwa, Ty Segall, and many more.
Bands and artists from over 40 different countries, including Australia, Canada, Italy, Mongolia, Norway, Singapore, Spain, UK, and USA, were selected to perform at Canadian Music Fest 2011 using Sonicbids.
Canadian Music Fest takes place during Canadian Music Week - Canada's annual music convention and entertainment festival - this year taking place the week following SXSW. Now in its 30th year, Canadian Music Week is recognized as one of the premier entertainment events in North America focusing on the business of music. For artists, it is a chance to learn and network with pros from all sectors of the industry who are at your disposal with the tools and knowledge to build your career in music. With panels, keynotes/celebrity interviews, mentoring sessions, speed-dating, workshops, film premieres, award shows, networking opportunities, an international marketplace, an artist lounge, and new for 2012, the Canadian International Comedy Fest, Canadian Music Week is your onestop music destination to the world.
All entrants will receive a COMPLIMENTARY PASS to attend Canadian Music Weeks Music Summit 2012 (valued at $499 CAD) and a two-year membership to CAAMA (Canadian Association for the Advancement of Music and the Arts) - a national, non-profit organization dedicated to the commercial development of the Canadian sound recording business domestically and internationally.
As an added bonus, all bands will have the opportunity to be featured in the "Artist Spotlight" on the Canadian Music Fest site - www.canadianmusicfest.com - with a link back to your Sonicbids EPK. Bands will be spotlighted on a weekly basis, so don't put off your chance to be recognized until the end.
