Igniting over 11 days on 75 acres with over 700 bands performing on 13 stages, Summerfest is the world's largest music festival. 60 slots are reserved for Sonicbids members.

All selected artists will be compensated and several artists may be chosen as support for national headliners. Since 2006, Summerfest has selected more than 260 Sonicbids artists- 63 last year alone. In the past, Sonicbids artists have provided direct support for Gnarls Barkley, They Might Be Giants, Paramore, and many more./n/nDue to an overwhelming number of submissions Summerfest has extended their notification deadline to May 27. However, you will likely be notified at an earlier date.

The World's Largest Music Festival and Milwaukee's cornerstone summer celebration attracts the music industry's hottest stars, emerging talent and local favorites. The Marcus Amphitheater and 10 additional stages, along with a diverse selection of food and beverage vendors, marketplaces and interactive exhibits, are set against the Lake Michigan and downtown backdrops, creating a festival experience like no other.

Summerfest will fill 60 slots with Sonicbids artists. 5 of those slots are reserved for artists who submit before January 31, 2011. All selected artists will be compensated for their performances. Since 2006, Summerfest has selected more than 260 Sonicbids artists- 63 last year alone.


This year Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Sugarland, The Black Keys, Katy Perry, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Def Leppard, Florence + the Machine and Cage the Elephant are all confirmed to perform.

The festival celebrates diversity in music and features hundreds of local, regional and national performers in genres including everything from Alternative, Country, R&B and Reggae to Blues, Zydeco, Rock, Pop, Latin and more.

This year's Summerfest, which will be held June 29-July 3 and July 5-10, will continue to provide exciting and affordable entertainment for all ages and musical tastes, plus a variety of food, shopping and children's activities.
