From the age of 2 Kate was a performer . every chance she had she would sing and dance , spending hours in front of the mirror practicing . In school she was always the first to sign up for plays and variety shows, and anything to do with performing . All through middle school and high school kate recieved awards for her performances . She would also be a part of the district music festival where many times she would take first place in her class .
