Emotional impact on K-Gi Scarlett's song: "Happy With Music"
Your lyrics are sensual and extremely well worded, with a magnificent flow. The music has a strong Pop appeal that the listener won’t be able to get enough of. A great mix of styles to create your own unique sound. The title is a perfect choice. - Songwriter of the Year Contest

.........By the hundredth or so play I had to admit that not only was this a blinding track, but it did indeed seem to be all K-Gi's own work, and that raises the game considerably. Remember what I was bellyaching about earlier on? The bit about reggae being all about feel; authenticity? Welp, I used to love bands like Third World, Steel Pulse because of their willingness to bring that music to our ears in a UK fashion and that - unbelieveably - is exactly the sound K-Gi has so brilliantly captured on Dutty Water. The attention to arrangement detail and the tightness of the musicians involved make this one of THE tracks to listen to right now. It's a scandal that this track hasn't even broken the reggae charts because IMO it should be Number One with several million bullets. The more I listen to the wonderful track, the more I realise how much work and effort went into producing a track that is almost perfect in every single detail. While it's true that a liking for reggae would help when listening to this track, but moreso would be an appreciation for a musician who knows exactly what he is about. A massive keeper for me, and I can't urge you strongly enough to bend an ear to this slice of sunshine.
MUST HAVE. No Question. Perfect.

Bio
The composer, K-Gi, (pronounced: kay-gee) spends most of his time honing the art of writing songs, arranging, recording and producing them.

He claims that there are two types of compositions: One that’s from the head (Father), and the other that’s from the heart (Mother).
K-Gi combines different genres and creates interesting tunes which are surprising and easily recognizable at the same time.
His latest album is like a Pina Colada on a hot summer day, relaxing under palmtrees. It takes the listener from sunny beaches to salmon filled rivers and carries one to candle-light dinner settings.
He has been encouraged and urged by friends to share his creations. For the past 15 years, family life has been his priority and music went on the back burner.
But it never stopped to simmer, cook and bake - and the result represents only the tip of K-Gi's musical iceberg!
He feels that a good marriage between words and music (prosody) can if only briefly, uplift the human spirit and give it wings to fly. Yet, as important as music is to him, he envisions it as ‘just a slice of bread on the table of life’.
Though somewhat of an introvert, K-Gi’s altruistic nature immediately surfaces when engaged in lively discussions.
No one will truly be safe, well-off and at peace until ALL are! He believes that we are all connected to each other whether we know it or not; like it or not.
In particular, he mentions how quickly we forget where we come from after we become successful; forget what it is like to be hungry once we are full; what it is means to be cold when we are warm. However once we are loved we never forget. It is therefore incumbent upon us all to do all that we can to spread love, peace, joy and compassion…and to contribute in the reduction of tragedies and sorrows globally.
It is K-Gi’s ambition that music will afford him the opportunity to make a difference…no matter how small. Drop by drop is the bucket filled. Though many are called, few are chosen.
“If it were not so he would have told you!”
Please have a safe, efficient and an abundantly rewarding life!
