Bio
Jessica Morhall is a talented Perth-based singer/songwriter whose musical journey continues to evolve and grow.
She began learning the piano at 8 and at just 12, started writing her own songs.
Jess completed a Diploma in Contemporary Music at the WA Academy of Performing Arts and has become a regular performer around town, singing with different groups at a range of venues including The Bird, X-Wray Caf, Mojos and Yayas.
However it was her first solo performance at Ellington Jazz Club that landed Jess her first major solo gig supporting Diesel at Live at the Quarry in 2012. This experience cemented her passion for music and performing live.
In the summer of 2012 Jess recorded her debut EP Leave It All Behind, which was released in March 2013.
Her music is sometimes compared to modern storytellers like Josh Pyke and Missy Higgins, and her writing is somewhat influenced by song-writing legends such as Cat Stevens, Paul Simon and Bob Dylan.
She is currently working with her new band on her current EP, which will see her songs transformed to a different level.
