Skope: How does it feel to be chosen as an “A2W” artist for February 2010?
Dani J: It’s feel great! I am honored to be featured in this publication. I am a new recording artist and it feels awesome to be acknowledged and receive good feedback from doing what I love.
Skope: What are you currently working on in your musical endeavours?
Dani J: Currently, I am recording my first full length album. The title has yet to be decided on but, it will be an album that reflects my life experience with love, heartbreak and happiness up until now. I am also building up my fanbase on sites such as twitter, facebook, myspace, and jango.com.

Skope: What is your favorite time of day to create music?
Dani J: I create music at anytime of the day. Whenever lyrics pop into my head, I jot them down or type them into my phone immediately. I don’t want to chance loosing a good song!
Skope: What is coming up for you and where can readers learn more about you?
Dani J: I have several events coming up. On February 27, 2010, I will be performing at the University of Buffalo’s Black Explosion, Western New York’s Largest Fashion Show. On March 19, 2010 I will be performing in the PUSH Talent Showcase at the Forbes Theater in Buffalo, and in April I hope to participate in the ArtAwake Showcase in Rochester, NY. My single “Love Intervention” is on the Unsigned Hype Countdown for radio station WBLK, Buffalo’s #1 station. I plan to release my debut album in May/June of this year. Bio
Dani J was born and raised in Buffalo, New York where she has been singing since the age of six months. She started off humming and singing inaudible words to the sounds on the radio. Her mouth was moving, sounds were coming out, but you couldn't understand a word that she was singing. By the age of two she was a die hard Michael Jackson fan and would sit in front of the television and watch his life story video, "The Michael Jackson Story", over and over and over again. She could work the VCR as well as the television remote controls like a seasoned couch potato. The exception was that her spot was on the floor, dead in front of the television set..
Danielle has cultivated her craft by singing at a plethora of community service concerts with the Voices of God Choir and singing with her sisters, Brianna and Lauren as the Gospel Music Group "Sistahs of Soul" . While performing as the "Sistahs of Soul", many audiences have been delighted by their variety of vocal range and their three-part harmony. They have performed all over the city of Buffalo and also during the Martin Luther King Program at Kleinhan's Music Hall. Danielle also hones her skill by blessing her congregation with solo performances from time to time.
Danielle is currently a senior at the University of Buffalo where she has recently changed her major to Music-Vocal Performance. She is the proud mother of one year old Skylar-Rae Solis and is best friends with her two sisters, Brianna and Lauren. She makes her Mom and Dad proud everday because she is pursuing her passion and enjoying it every step of the way.
Currently Dani J's single is working its way up on WBLK's Unsigned Hype Top 10 Countdown! She is currently at the #7 spot! She also performs live every Tuesday night at Buffalo Live.
Upcoming performances: Blush NY Lounge on February 19th, Cotton Club Celebration at Buffalo State College, Intimate and Interactive Open Mic in Toronto, ON
Her musical influences are, of course, Michael Jackson, Mary J Blige, Gladys Knight and Beyonce. This is Danielle's life-long dream to produce music and entertain audiences. She is well on her way!
