Summary
Colours of Ostrava, the biggest international music festival in the Czech Republic and one of the bigger music events in the Central Europe, will celebrate its 12th anniversary in 2013. Colours takes place European Heritage Protected Site of the former mines, iron and steel-works. It fascinates with its industrial beauty, but also offers everything you could want for a great summer music event - comfort, friendliness, facilities for families, security, and audience services.
Ostrava is the third largest city in the Czech Republic and the region has more than 1.2 million inhabitants. The audience attendance in 2012 was over 31,500 people.
The festival provides fee or travel expenses + production cost, where agreed with the artist.
This is an innovative and multi-genre festival, aimed not only at the younger generation, but fans of all music styles. World, dance, ethnic music and a host of well-known names from the Czech music scene, including alternative groups and artists will be in attendance. The diversity of styles is well-reflected and expressed through the festival's name Colours of Ostrava.
Colours features 12 stages including 2 big open-air stages (the main stage has capacity 35,000 people), also indoor stages, a theatre stage, a workshop stage, a kids stage, a cinema and live discussions.
